We should get rid of Allen regardless "Kolo has been terrific since he came in here. He may be 32 years of age but he's super fit and in great condition." That line amused me. I thought Kolo has looked slow and clumsy with the turning circle of a tank since arriving...
i suppose you do need to measure quality over time... just like lfc training sessions... have to monitor and improve load delivery or some such.
Said it before, but now the transfer has gone through, I hope they come in. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...igning-of-argentinian-striker-gonzalo-higuain
You do know that tanks can turn on the spot right? So are you saying he's slow but turns really well?
So Valencia played AC Milan today and no Soldado or Cissokho sighting. With Soldado could be due to us or spurs and with Cissokho hopefully we have had Ayre do some magic back at Melwood.
According to SSN Tottenham are looking favourites to sign Soldado and are in talks. Although in reality that's nothing we didn't know already.
They ended up getting £35 mil - I believe they will add £15 to that and come in and on the plane to Spain he goes. They've held their cards close to their chest, but now the world knows they've sold a big asset. Let's face it Suarez is well and truly worth an extra £15 mil when you compare the players. The only issue is if that money is lined up for Bale. Although, they have plenty in the locker to buy both Picture Madrid's offence - Ronaldo on one flank, Bale on the other, and Suarez through the middle = HOLY ****
That sounds like the worlds best attack AND the worlds best syncronised diving team all rolled into one
so it is sunday morning and the main sunday papers are out... what ****e have the wirtten today? I think real will offer 35mil myself.
oh god! Arsenal have turned their attention to Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, 26, after top target Gonzalo Higuain left Real Madrid to join Napoli. Full story: Metro that is the lamest effort even for the bloody metro. in other news AVB fails to deny a bid for bale..... this one should take over in the next few days a fail to deny is like a confirmation to the rags. 85mil there and then real might turn in for the scraps after that. despite 3 denials and fabregas saying no move the press are even making up secret meetings with agents.
Hi lads. Haven't been on here for a while. Hope you're all enjoying the summer It seems that both Liverpool and spurs seem to be going through a very similar situation right now, in many ways. I was just interested to find out your thoughts on strikers, if Suarez should go. I know your keen on soldado, as are we, but only 1 team can get him. If you do get an obscene amount for Suarez, who do you realistically think you could get? We're finding that there's not many options left and strikers are costing ridiculous amounts. - never did I think we'd pay 25m for a 28 year old, but it's looking likely. However, you guys can pay bigger wages and could well have 40m to play with, where as we dont. we've been looking for this "golden nugget" of a player who bangs in 20 goals a season, is under 24/25 and costs less than £20m. - not gonna happen, hence our current situ(desper)ation!!! IMO, as good as Suarez is, he's also a liability at times. That sort of money spent well could make you guys an interesting prospect next season. So who would you like to see at anfield? Best of luck for the new season
You will be able to buy whichever striker you want with the £86m for Bale Goals wasn't our main problem last season, though someone clinical would be very welcome.
I'm not that keen on Soldado tbh. I dont see where he would fit in our team and at that price for his age is a bit much. He would suit the Spurs team more.
