Am I the only one who thought the scoreline flattered us a little? Ok I know we could have had a couple more, but so could they. If not for Vorm they should have been back in it.
The first half hour, despite the goal I thought we looked lost. Trying to play one touch football while pushing forward and failing miserably. I just got the feeling we were trying to hard to do something else.
We seemed to get back into our game in the last 10 mins of the first half, and the second half was a lot better.
They were very poor though and need to sort it out quick if they don't want to be where they were last season again, but as landed as I am with the result, I think we need to be cautious as a decent team would have put a few past us

Make no mistake,we rode our luck in this game, QPR were at home and looking to make a good impression against a team they rarely have problems against, though they threatended our goal we restricted them to mostly shots outside the box, our defending at corners was very good too.

That's one hell of a start to your season against opposition expected to do well. Wow.

I agree we did look better in defence of the corners and I was impressed with our set pieces too. De Guzman looked the part and his audacious free kick attempt from a ridiculous distance was some sort of indication of what he likes to do.
I think we'll be ok, but I wouldn't take too much out of this game despite the score

i think for most of us this is a huge confidence boost in Laudrup and the players after all the rumours flying around recently. Lets keep our feet firmly on the ground though and enjoy the moment.

Totally agree. Couldn't wish for a better start and a better result to stick it right up the pundits tipping us for the drop just on the basis that rogers left us. I'm always the optimist and have every faith in Laudrup and his signings, and on today's evidence rightly so, but I don't want to get carried away on a flattering result

We were a bit lucky today , there keeper let in an easy one ,Vorm came back with a brilliant save & momentum was ours . I could see us giving up a few on a different day & scoring a few less . We should have certainly won , but 5 - 0 is a bit harsh on QPR . The new guys are AWESOME !! Chico is a bargain amongst bargains , De Guzman is going to have more than a few " 0 - to 60 " runs through the middle , & Michu is fantasticwith that nose for a goal of his . If he wasn't scoring he was in the middle of it . The only thing nicer than our goals today , was our assists ... Agustien's pass to Dyer for Dyer's 2nd goal was SUPERB and so was Routledge's pass for Dyers other goal!! ... Happy Days !!

So let's see how Swansea get on minus the midfield maestro of
their Barça-lite stylings. Directing the proceedings will be Brian
Michael Laudrup, fresh from bickering with the directors of
troubled Spanish side Mallorca. Prior to that gig, Laudrup was
moving between Spain and Russia, making a name for himself
as a proponent of an attractive style of play and as someone
who didn't care to remain at any given club for more than a
    year.
Pitted against the visitors is a Rangers side studded with new
signings. Mockers wanna mock. Haters gonna hate. So not
everything you've read out there suggests that the Superhoops
have shopped wisely. But the feeling amongst the W12 faithful is
that a lot of good business has done by the club. Optimism seems
to be rife. A decent win today will add to that feeling. Anything
else, especially if the performance isn't great, and the doubts
may start to creep in earlier rather than later

    Awkward :D

Really enjoyed that yesterday. Swans fans in good voice, Swans players in good form. I don't get this rode our luck buisness. Yes they had 2 good opportunities in the first have. One was a great save from Vorm, The other was Vorm leaving himself in no mans land. ( the Hoilett header). after that QPR huffed and puffed but never threated or looked like scoring. So well done lads.

Dilli, I am with you on this yet again on another visit to QPR. I had to hold my 12 year old close to me, due to their mindless morons. When they came running out of the springbok. Firstly i dont know why the police make us walk that way and secondly i have been everywhere to watch the swans with my boy and not experienced any trouble, i have been to QPR 4 times and there have been problems 4 times. What is it with their supporters.
