It turns out that Fernando Alonso did actually eventually return to the pitlane on his F14 T's own steam, but just took a little while longer than an installation lap should have done. The screens at the Ferrari garage when straight across, so no real indication get what went wrong.

Problems for Williams:
07:23 According to EDD STRAW, the engine cover has been taken off the Williams and he can see "feverish activity". He's also heard that the issue could have involved the power cutting out when Massa took to the track earlier.

According to Sky F1’s David Croft, Ferrari intend to “start to push parts to the limits of their durability” over the coming few days.

08:46 Red Bull has just fired its Renault engine up, but it still has the car up on stands so it doesn't appear that we'll be getting a first lap of the day from the RB10 just yet.
