i would honestly prefer diakite or roberge to jos. neither one has been given much of a chance so we cant really say how good they are

Yep, I actually liked the look of both, Diakite I'd seen plenty for Lazio and he's very good, a lot more mobile than JOS, Roberge looks a decent footballer who maybe needs a bit of positional work.

I'd like to see both given until January, but understand that it would be foolish to turn down money for either.

That rings a bell. Might have been 8 + 2.5 add ons? That many rumours and figures fleein about can`t remember which was which now.

I think that`s exactly it. The way Liverpool are going it might not be long.

Liverpool might just sign Origi and not loan him back to Lille. He has shown in the WC he is more than capable of stepping up. Is he Suarez level? Hell no. But it's gonna be hard to find a striker who can do what he does. They will more than likely need to spend most of that 75million to find a replacement. Falcao/James Rodriguez would prob be the two stand outs imo...

But my question is this... how in the hell do Real and Barca afford such obscene amounts for players when the country is in the dire straights? Up **** creek without a paddle?

They'll sign Bony as his replacement fella, they'll will make silly profit on him also I reckon.

I think Bony has been set up for a while, the World Cup and Suarez's behaviour have slowed things up.

Suarez to Barca, Bony to Liverpool. Borini to us.

they both have massive stadiums and must be raking it in on the commercial side of things. teams like real and barca probably make more on shirt sales then our annual turnover plus all the other sponsers they have. plus they probably have written into player contracts that they get a percentage of their sponsership revenue

Plus as an international power they'll probably make most of their money outside of Spain so the Spanish economy has little to no impact on them.

It's an empire not a footy club. You've got to build the rep first though init.
