How you can lose this race from Ricciardos position is diabolical from RBR.

I can't deal with the incoming Max hype <laugh>

    Well done the kid.

Stories are what it's all about.

He got in the car and put it 4th ahead of ferrari and Ricciardo did well to take 3rd after not looking like it til q3.

Red bull backing the kid is obvious... if they didn't he'd be in a ferrari or Mercedes next year.

No longer a star of the future then. Now a star of today.

It was unlucky for Ricciardo but you can't fault Verstappen. He had Kimi behind him for the whole race and never faltered. One bad final sector would have been curtains, but it never happened.

Great for Verstappen. But if he keeps performing like that, he'll be champion one day. We'll soon be fed up with him like Vettel.

As much as we say RedBull stitched Riccy up by making him stop 3 times, RB hedged their bets. My opinion is that without Tyre data for Max they should have put Max on 3 stop. But hey RedBull got first, massive amounts of publicity and youngest winner that will be a record for a long time due to FIA rule changes.

We don't know who made the call on tyres, could've been the drivers, could've been the team. In the second stint on the mediums Vettel was the fastest by quite a margin, so it made sense to try something different as it looked like going mediums would hand it to Vettel.

The real problem was Vettel and Ricci pitted miles early into their middle stint. Whereas they should have been using the speed of the softs to gain precious lap time for later, they pitted so early, lost track position, and could never claw it back because there was not enough wear difference (2 laps behind Verstappen!) on mediums.

It's still a great drive from the kid but not as special as the ****athon that is going to say over the next few days.

I am again reminded of just how bloody awesome Danny Ricc is today- if I'm Ron Dennis I'm keeping an eye on RBR and their development of MAx because Danny Ricc has to be a world champion some day- perhaps in a couple of years when Honda have built an engine that works?!

Well done Max though- real good drive and how nice to see action at the FRONT of the grid.

I am sick of him already . That's more to do with the RB / Torro Rosso management .

He has acted like a spoiled brat from day 1 though . Hope his lips burst .......

Mercedes drivers got their just desserts for being so complacent. It was a matter of time. They wont be together next year thats for sure.
