ha, Rosberg popped in a new lap record, he's been coasting so far and just showed he can pull away if he wants. Why strain the car? He doesn't need a 1 min lead just a few seconds, a SC is the only danger and any lead will vanish if that comes out.

 

If it were me managing Merc I would protect the 1 - 2 no matter who was in front unless it was a championship issue.
