Nico shined in this press conference, really well spoken and some brilliant points regarding where we are heading in 2017.
I would probably give it till mid-Europe to see where Lewis Hamilton is. Lets watch how he deals with having to claw the title back into his corner. Should be a cracker of a season. Thing is Lewis has been embroiled in title battles nearly every season he has entered, so with his experience he shouldn't really have a problem getting back into it, barring any mechanicals.
By that token, being one of the few people to have ever driven an F1 car, being plonked into the best team on the grid at the time and finding himself recently in one of the most dominant positions in F1 history hardly constitutes ****** luck, but you still said it.
What the actual f*ck ??? Did I miss some news story on the daily mail about Hamilton? Was he caught rimming??
I'm going to assume that English may not be your first language, what has having good or bad luck , got to do with having good clutch control?? These are all drivers of 200 Mph racing thoroughbreds, they drive them at those speeds lap after lap and they have been doing this for over 10 years in some cases, so the chances of any of them have "Sh*tty Clutch Control" is like saying that they are the same as a learner driver, that just not frankly believable. Some cars are good at fast starts , the Ferraris especially seem to have superb launch control, but suggesting Hamilton after three years with the same car, suddenly doesn't know how to use the clutch without the engineers telling him what to do as Big Rn suggest is just f**king ******ed. Anyway we shall see in the Russian GP if he has learnt how to drive again
With the length of the season , it only takes a couple of DNF's and you gain massive, looks like its going to be fun either way.
I seem to recall the Mercedes pit wall constantly going through start procedures with him on the grid almost every race, pit-lane coaching is now banned and he's having bad starts every race.
Every pitwall goes through start procedures with their drivers, and seeing as there have only been three races , one of which he started at the back, its a bit early to judge wouldn't you say? If he gets 10 races in , and is still being beaten off the line , while being in pole. then you may be on to something.
It's not, but I'll try again and see if I can be clearer. You said Hamilton was unlucky. Ern said this season had been more about poor starts/clutch control than bad luck. You said that F1 drivers in general and Hamilton in particular don't have poor clutch control and gave some reasons why that's not the case. I said that F1 drivers and Hamilton in particular can't be considered unlucky and gave some reasons why that's not the case. I was attempting to highlight the inconsistency/irony of your counter argument to Ern. Foreign humour is quite tricky, so sorry if I confused you or anyone else, but I like to practice it when I can.
Christ... The tedium of this crap over the years is matched only by the racing and the series of Police Academy films.
I really want to see Hamilton stuff up another start/break down, I think he will implode soon Having said that his luck is due to change, so I voted for him to win.
Lewis back on top but Nico didn't run the SS - it will be interesting to see the long runs between the pair. Ferrari lack reliability and Kimi's long run didn't look great. Will McLaren finally deliver a Q3 slot?
