Why the he'll did Mclaren pit Mag before Button. Massa was there for the taking. I guess they don't want the podium.

Guys, can anyone explain how Button is behind Massa despite the 9.8 second stop (incl. the 5 sec penalty) for the Brazilian?

Button was 3 secs behind Massa and then pitted the lap after Massas stop.

    Totally confused

They would probably have left him out for more than one lap if that was the case. He was losing bundles of time.

It's pretty obvious why they did that. One driver's result is more important now.

The undercut. McLaren chose to leave him out and he lost the 5 seconds.

Button has been dropping more time though. One lap doesn't add up to that gap.

That is a shocking decision on all levels.

    Absolutely astonishing.

Could be a very interesting finish here! I wonder if Rosberg is looking after his tyres more, and will therefore try to stay out longer and hope Hamilton's pushed his tyres too far.

Agreed that's why it annoyed me so much that they left him for two laps. Now they're in clear air he'll never catch the Williams.

His tyres are two laps fresher, so should have an advantage now.
