Herbert was amazing with Le Mans on Eurosport, but sadly as Damon Hill is.... (very blunt terms) a boring dork in front of the camera Sky have forced Herbert to make the chuckle brothers play so Sky don't have to fire a world champion. Herbert was much better in 2012 when he first came in to replace Damon part-time, he was more like Brundle with a better sense of humour. But even Brundle is hardly used on commentating when he was great back with DC on the BBC, now Crofty is useless as well as clueless with his twitter selections and his conspiracy theories are even worse than mine but at least some of mine make actual sense he tries to convince you of the most idiotic situations as a conspiracy for example did Vettel swear on purpose to screw over his team mates appeal... Sky really need to re think their priorities because eventually nobody will watch their pre-post shows, the stupid people have too much time talking while the people who know what they're on about don't have enough time.
Anyone who thinks the coverage here is bias should try watching in Italy. Formula ferrari and all others are cheats. Quite amusing really
Well apparently Hamilton desperately deserves to win you see, so whether it's interesting to watch is irrelevant. I imagine many will be preaching about how good it is to see him winning by miles over and over, long after they've stopped watching the races themselves.
You do a lot of imagining.. and moaning... Kinda makes Marvin look like he has an optimistic outlook on life.
On the topic of Sky Sports, I'm glad everyone else has pointed out their weakest point- lead commentator David Croft. Sky have, for me, really dropped standards in all sorts of aspects. Jim Watt on the boxing, some random Scottish guy on Monday Night football. Crofty on the F1. Awful. Who would you like to be the voice of F1? Get DC and Eddie Jordan on Sky because let's face it, the Beeb has given up. I'd have MB and Eddie Jordan commentating, at least Eddie would add charisma but importantly have the knowledge to go with it. Panel: Herbert, Eddie Irvine, David Coulthard. Any others?
lol more of those who've been moaning non-stop about Vettel suddenly full of criticisms about those doing the same thing to Hamilton, who's now in an even more dominant car. lol at the state F1 is in right now, on and off the track.
I did tell you: "If you thought Red Bull dominance was bad, wait until you see how Mercedes does it." Been expecting it to happen I did.
But the truth is, Mercedes are nowhere near the dominance of Red Bull. It will be funny to see Hamilton not win the championship in the best car though, after all these years of crying about Vettel.
I completely agree... But by implying everybody here is on an Hamilton love-in, you're barking up the wrong tree.
Exactly, the car is way ahead of any dominance Red Bull had that to our standards it's back to being poor again. The car is so good on engine power they can have maximum down force levels and still go like lightning down the straights so it has all bases covered. At least with RBR you had a small hope of getting them on the straights and holding them there for the whole race as they wont overtake you in the bends being near impossible, the others wont have that luxury when trying to catch that car as it's a freak of nature! it's a true Silverarrow!
We are two races in to these new cars.... Give it time to balance. It isn't going to remain this way. And if you want some proper racing... Watch some Indy with me in the meantime.
Pretty sure Red-Bull had a 3 second advantage in the 2nd half of last year and Mercedes have just over 1 second SO FAR with Red-bull catching.
I see Merc having to capitalize in a similar way to Brawn in '09. I don't see them holding this advantage all season.
