lol funny i don't remember hearing teams complaining so intensely about blown exhausts before Red Bull started dominating, and yet here we are where practically all development of aero on the rear of the car has been banned. Were teams supposed to complain before they even knew where they stood engine-wise?

At his first pitstop they'll replace his tires with FIA papers saying "Car 3 is not permitted to be using any form of tires or internal combustion engine". You heard it here first.

Perhaps they've taken the term 'horse-power' too literally?

Going off topic here, is anyone else able to check out the race edits and onboard laps at formula1.com? It's being very buggy for me (but they always have been)

Oh my god, what is happening to F1 this season.

Bernie: "double points are 'probably not fair'."

Ermmm, who pushed this through Bernie?
Someone genuinely is trying to destroy the sport so it can start a new and even more corrupt.

    Hmmm...

[h=1]Will Formula 1 soon GP1?elimination of FIA is getting closer[/h]Prepares Bernie Ecclestone before once again the big coup? A formula 1 without FIA. Together with Red Bull and Ferrari. Emergency under the name GP1. All signs indicate. The persistent criticism of his own product, prompt soften the fuel limit to tilt the move behind the back of the FIA budget cap.

If formula 1 must progress as a sport then they must stop being held to ransom by the big teams. It's like Barcelona and Real Madrid threatening to join the Premier league.

Never gonna happen. Red Bull want an aero formula, Ferrari want some sort of historic series with outdated engine tech, they'll never agree on anything. If Red Bull leave, they'll just leave. They don't need F1, they market themselves in other motorsports and all kinds of extreme sports. They get their biggest exposure from F1 but they also get a lot of bad press. Ferrari are the opposite, they need F1. They'd fare even worse in LMP1. And surely neither of them would be mental enough to jump into bed with Bernie.

Could Red Bull start their own series though?

"Red Bull Racing" V8 engines, Bridgestone/Michelin tyres with no aero limitation and designed by Newey...

A spec series? They wouldn't be able to get any other manufacturers on board. No fans would be interested in that and it would cost Red Bull a fortune.

"There is a short term simple fix for a few of the issues the sport is experiencing, however. Take away the fuel flow limit. Cars will rev higher, noise will be increased and drivers will be able to push. Yes engines will be under increased strain but that is for the teams to sort. There will still be disparity between the teams and engine suppliers, but in the short term at least its a fix that makes some sense."

Completely agree with this <applause>. The fuel flow limit is causing all sorts of problems, the sensors are temperamental, the teams can't run the engines at full whack which is making the cars slower and quieter than they need to be. They should scrap the 100kg fuel limit as well, the teams have always run the cars as marginal on fuel as they can because they don't want to carry the extra weight, all the limit does is force aggressive fuel saving at high consumption circuits. The cars are going to be more efficient without these restrictions, they're adding nothing to the sport.

Expect a 2 second gap then with Mercedes powered cars because Mercedes were very upset with the fuel flow being introduced.

Not convinced Vettels engine is going to be fully fixed, that or they know they can't do well so they're going to bin some parts on purpose to get some new ones.
