BBC just spout the same crap constantly. Williams are always stronger in qualifying than the race, they won't challenge.
Yes, another error on his first lap. Not sure where he lost time on the final lap, Rosberg's time just seemed immense. So long as the Mercedes don't get split by the Williams then it should be a 1-2. Hamilton did look fairly relaxed as 2nd is still fine, but inside he will be wondering how he is 4/10th's behind.
Good, all this celebrity sucking up is nauseating. Why do we want to listen to some hanger on who attends the odd GP and has no real opinion or idea on what is going on in F1. We have Crofty for that.
Could be an interesting race then. Hamilton tends to be faster in race trim (spins aside) so that should be fun oh who am I kidding it's abu dhabi
At least 'Crofty' wasn't asking the questions: "So, Pharrell, who's going to Get Lucky tomorrow? Will it be Lewis or Nico who ends up Happy? Is Lewis really so relaxed or is he just Frontin'?"
Awkward situation for Hamilton now, does he curb his racing instinct and settle for second and the WDC, or will he feel obliged to attack Nico? Also going to be interesting to see if Rosberg tries to back Hamilton up into the chasing pack. I'm expecting a dull race though.
Nico can't afford to back Hamilton up, Ham will have him. I think the best thing Ham can do is just sit a reasonable distance behind Rosberg and wait for an opportunity. If it doesn't come, don't force it. No need. But you can bet if he gets a proper chance he will take it.
You can't overtake in S3, and because thats where they're gaining all their time, Rosberg can afford to be tactically slow there, and then the Williams might have a chance to overtake Hamilton... Maybe an early SC too, around the first stops will let Rosberg win! I can only dream though
This. Rosberg either has to gun it and try and force Hamilton to make a big mistake (if Hamilton choses to fight)and have to make additional pitstops, or risk backing the pack up which then leaves him vunerable as well. I think Hamilton will want to win, but he will take an easy second as he will want the WDC more than a risky race win he doesn't need.
Will be difficult for Rosberg to do that as it would put him in Hamilton's DRS zone, so he would then be under threat. I think he just has to go for it and hope for the best (i.e. Hamilton retires). The rest is out of his hands.
Yes, this is how I see it too but, leaving the title aside for a moment, I hope Button can have a good race in case it's his last. I wouldn't like to see him bow out ignominiously, Coulthard-style. He deserves better, as did DC.
non-Mercedes DRAMA "Red Bull face an official investigation after governing body the FIA declared their car illegal at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The FIA said the front wings on the cars of both Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel were too flexible. The team will now probably either have to modify the wings and start from the back of the grid or race under appeal." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/30161617
