the new fuel flow regs came into effect this race. Mercedes and ferrari seemed unaffected.... Renault? Honda?
I don't agree with you. I genuinely believe that he could be special but I have to admit that you have hit the nail on the head as to why it is probably over for him now. There are plenty of younger contenders coming through now who will get the future opportunities.
Doing an update list of who voted for who... for some reason I can't see all the names that voted for a Hamilton win...
I voted Kimi, don't worry JB it happens. If I were you I wouldn't bother counting the votes for China. Or if not, find out who voted Rosberg, Kimi and Bottas and do not add a point to their scores. Just add a point to everybody else (Hamilton voters). But like I said, I would just leave it, it's just a bit of fun. You did a good enough job putting it up.
They were trying to force Mercedes into an earlier stop so they'd struggle later on in the race. If they'd pitted a lap or two earlier it might have worked, because they were a lot closer Mercedes would have to have responded immediately and they might've gone for primes for the longer middle stint. Obviously it didn't work, but they didn't have the pace to beat Mercedes in a straight fight so they had to force issue.
Thats what I was thinking in the race, if their tyres lasted much longer why didn't they try and leapfrog rather than the undercut... and you are right it was just down to raw pace. Mercedes had them covered in both scenarios.
