    I'll update the leaderboard once betting is closed to show who's got what outstanding. I should have the leaderboard then updated by Sunday night or Monday morning from the gains and losses of the race.

    It might be worth setting an official cut-off point, so that people can bet in the confidence that they're not preventing themselves from taking up potentially more attractive bets that haven't been posted yet. If the result of that is a few races where we're only betting on the winner, so be it.

    I understand your reasoning, NNW, but surely doing this would reduce participation until right until the last moment, giving a potentially huge work-load to those running it? Also, part of the gamble is itself to choose the most auspicious moment to place one's bet. It is the nature of gambling.

    I think there'll be a bit of a late rush either way, be it because people wait for a pre-determined cutoff point, or people wait until a mod confirms that there won't be any more odds for an individual race.

    And my decision to only pick one McLaren driver didn't backfire. :)

    That said, Cosi was the only one who REALLY gambled on Jenson, with a hefty £2 stake.

    Peter Windsor said after qualifying that he still thinks Alonso will be WDC this year. His odds will surely go down after this race - great betting opportunity.

    Not sure if anyone else has commented upon this, but if we're only allowed to make bets in £1 integers, but winnings don't have to be, what happens when people are down to their last 50p?

    For me the main thing is that I managed to get above £20 once. Whatever happens from here, I can't blame the £4 I tied up in season bets if it all goes pear shaped.
