The attacking mid area we have options in Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling and Gerrard. Trying to make that work and not be too offensive is tough, and I'd rather not pick Allen, but he fills a space. The back 4 I have chosen on those performing the best currently, and to try and keep some continuity at the back despite Skirts awful performance last game. On paper I would have: Mankiller--- Lovren---Sakho---Moreno But various members aren't performing, or are injured.
Can't complain with that side other than I'd obviously take Johnson out for Man quill and probably find a way to incorporate Can
Happy with that, like others have said, aside from Johnson. It's really pissing me off that he continues to get a pass. Rodgers finally grew some balls and dropped Lovren, he rests Gerrard now, but Johnson continually plays dreadfully and continues to get picked. Manquillo didn't deserve to be subbed off against Leicester, and he definitely doesn't deserve to not even be on the bench today when GJ is starting.
It's close to our best XI. I say 'close to' because whatever XI we go with won't be our best as we're constantly making compromises in player selection right now. As such we don't currently have a 'best XI' because it's always short in one or two areas.
Yeah odd that he's not even on the bench. Can't be good for his confidence. Rodgers is just trying to persuade Johnson to sign a new contract unfortunately.
100% The striker situation needs sorting asap. And to be fair the back just isn't performing, so its not in a position to pick itself.
He's playing cos he scored that goal mate. That one piece of activity has bough him a 1-up of another ten free starts at least. Not that he ****ing needed the mushroom like.
It is a shame his defending (dis)ability isn't as easy to quantify as his goal. BR sees: 1 goal = new £200,000p/w contract when he should be seeing: Johnson playing = one big reason we conceded 50+ goals last year and a big reason why we are on track to repeat that this year.

Rodgers has picked a decent team for today I am unsure about moving Henderson back as I don't rate the three midgets for pressing and running but we will see won't we? I'm happy we've prepared for the full week but need to focus fully now on today Btw on Tuesday the manc game isn't important either when Wednesday comes it'll be noting but Therefore I'll be looking for match thread weds morning to have the banter then not now
