    Heading off for my first ever gig now, absolutely bricking it. If any of you lads are out in Whitley tonight, my band 'Type Five' are in the upstairs bit of the Bedroom (formerly the Vic) between 9 and 11 tonight.

    That's probably been my favourite album this year. Saw them on Glastonbury coverage and Whirring just blew me away!

    For me, Black Keys - El Camino has to be up there as well, excellent album.

    1.Metallica & Lou Reed - Lulu (Worst album ever, full stop)
    2.Metallica & Lou Reed - Lulu (What were metallica thinking)

    4.Trivium - In Waves (Seem to regress with each album)
    5.Dream Theater - A Dramatic Turn of Events (I didn't like it, they need Portnoy back)
    6.Queensryche - Dedicated to Chaos (Really poor album, considering their past material)

    1. Anthrax - Worship Music (return to form)
    2. Megadeth - Th1rt3en (Typical megadeth album)
    3. Machine Head - Unto the Locust (Not as good as The Blackening, but it was gonna be impossible to top it)
    4. Five Finger Death Punch - American Capitalist (I should hate them, but this album was suprisingly good)
    5. Sepultura - Kairos (Brilliant album, great leads as usual by Andreas Kisser)

    <laugh> It is truly woeful. I have no idea what Metallica thought they could achieve beyond possibly an extremely elaborate prank?

    That's normally the sort of racket I quite like or at least some variation of that, but in this case, something just isn't right. Too deliberate? Plonker for a drummer? Irritating lead vocals? Can't quite put my finger on it. <laugh>

    Probably the drummer. The double bass is probably a bit too random <laugh> Each to their own though.

    It's not a Metallica album... I'm sick of people judging Metallica on it. They know and respect Lou Reed, and agreed to assist him with his album.

    It's mainly all Lou Reed's work.

    Metallica's new official album is set for release next year.

    Exactly, they assisted him and that was their choice. I'm not saying it'll make their next album any worse, and i'll still get that, i was just pointing out that it's bad to the point of comedy and it's still partly their input.
