Simpson backs off so much it allows a lot of crosses, Raylor has been beaten by the attacker a lot of times(as well as gifted other teams goals and very good chances). They are our weak points despite the "best defence" at the moment.

I disagree slightly, the whole team does, stop as many crosses as possible(Simpson/ Raylor doesn't do), stops a lot of Stoke's chances. When they do get crosses in we need players that have a chance of winning the header, I think Santon has better chance then Raylor and Simpson(I also think he is a better defender anyway).

I didn't say there is any logic in my choices <laugh>. I just would have more faith if Santon was playing ahead of either Raylor/ Simpson.

We cant expect miracles from Santon, this is the sort of baptism of fire style game that could damage him.

To be fair when Stoke play us and Hapeol Tel Aviv is of no relevance to tomorrow's game and his complaint is more about it will affect Stoke against them rather than us.

    Right boot
To be fair, Tony Pulis has complained all season about this. It isn't a dig a Newcasle and I agree, it will NOT effect the game tonight. We've also just heard that the game v Blackburn at our place is now put back to Saturday 12:45 kick off NOT Monday night. Because Blackburn are in the Qts of the League Cup. <doh>
Add to that our game at home on Boxing Day is now a 7:45 kick off.. NOT as originally set for 3:00pm??

Fergie touched on the subject the other week. It's t.v. who call the shots and we just get on with it.
