Not a good display but just shows you that with a rock solid back 4 you'll be more likely to grind out results !!!

    Me as well.

Wasn't pretty and the players looked knackered for most of the second half but we have won again. Can't complain at that.

International break now, hopefully some players will recover from injury and the rest will get a rest.

Very proud to be a Toon supporter right now! :)

I don't care what the commentators said, MOTM was Guthrie!

That was a horrible half to watch, but we held on! For once I am glad that we have an international break now. We need players to recover, we looked tired, and we need players to return from injury.

    Second in the league!

Agree the break couldnt come at a better time, and its always good going into them on the back of a win, the team will be up beat for the following 2 weeks.

Marveaux deserves a mention to, he did well for the time he played, on his first start to.

Are these injuries serious or just knocks, so just precautionary? Couldn't see the game

Colo for me. Was solid again, he leads the back line superbly. Guthrie was impressive. Jonas continued to work hard although he looked knackered towards the end.

Poor second half, but as others have said, we have improved on our ability to grind out the last 10 minutes, last season we would have conceded in stoppage time or something similar. Colo and Stevie T were rocks and Jonas ran himself into the ground.

Although I think a few of the lads need training on how to run out the clock: keep the ball, pass it around or just run it into the corner, don't keep giving it back to them!

Go into the international break unbeaten! Hopefully we'll have everyone back to full strength afterwards.

I thought he had a pretty good defensive game, some important tackles. Not my MOTM though, I'd probably say Guthrie earned that.

****ing hell, some of you really know how to jump on a players back. Sameobi had a decent game, 2 or 3 good crosses, plenty of good runs which were needed considering we had resorted to long ball. No one seems to be saying Arfa had a bad game, despite Sammy doing more!
Gosling sorted himself out and put in an OK shift in the second half.

It was a similar performance to Stoke in the 2nd half.
