We can't afford any injuries to Krul, Collo, Cabaye etc., and there's no point playing the others if not fully fit. Try Best and HBA together as I expect them to be our partnership for the coming weeks.

Reasoning: Avoid any chance of injuries to Krul, Santon and Colo. Jonas needs a rest. Benny needs a run-out. Shola is probably going to be our "impact sub" as much as that sounds like an oxymoron, so Best starts.

Who else is going? I will be, haven't got a ticket like just going to the cash turnstiles. I'm fairly confident that we'll win although it would be typical Newcastle to beat the champions then get beat by a relegation candidate

Despite it being a 'easier' game for us I wouldn't weaken team too much just to make sure we win. Personally I'd go:

Simpson Williamson Perch Santon
Gosling Abeid
Sammy BenArfa Vuckic
Best​

The back 5 are more than capable Premier league players. As is Gosling which would allow us to try out Abeid. Then the 3 attacking players could swap around amongst them as they are all capable of playing each others position. Obviously BenArfa is a class act and Vuckic has recently been given Prem experience which allows us to try out Sammy. Then Best up front is obviously a proven premier league goalscorer. Then I'd bring on Fergie, Obertan and Lovenkrands off the bench. Or start those 3 and bring there replacements off the bench.

Jonas looks tired so I'd give him a well deserved rest and personally I think we shouldn't risk Colo, Cabaye, Raylor, Krul or Shola as they are vital players for us in the upcoming month. I'd like to not risk Simpson, Santon or Williamson either but I can't think of suitable placements so we'll just have to pray they don't pick up injuries.

Should be a good test for BenArfa, Best and Vuckic as they will all be fighting it out to be Shola's first team partner for the next month or so.

 

A unique tactic for sure but are Blackburn really going to be THAT difficult?

I can see Elliot being in goal, and then we'll have to play extremely attacking football as we'll yet again have to out score the opposition. Should be a good game
