    That's what I meant when I said Gerrard was still a goal threat and one of our best finishers.

    The likes of Allen, Henderson etc 9/10 would've blazed that over the bar or hit it into a defender.

    It's the 55th minute and we're up 2-1 in a nervy game.

    From what I've seen of Rodgers this season we can expect to shut up shop and defend with 11 soon.

    Also Lambert is offside basically every time I see him.

    Gerrard scoring means the press and pundits are going to go on about how he should be starting every game.. not realising that he's looked more energetic today because he got a rest at the weekend.

    It is about right that he plays once a week and if we have CL games he wants to play then he might have to miss the league games. At 34 he just doesn't have the legs to do more than 1 a week.
