Thats 3 games in a row with out Moreno... Very strange. I think he's a quality LB.

I hope Gerrard plays ahead of Lucas and not next to him because that pairing doesnt work.

    Gerrard pushed forward?

Shame Enrique isn't there to keep the same bsck 4.. All this chop n change can't be good.

Nice to see Lallana start though, him and Lambert link up well.

Looking at the team sheet and we really are an average side.

Skrtel, Johnson, Gerrard, Lucas, Lambert - I thought we were an aggressive, young, dynamic side.

Johnson says he won't be crawling to the club for a new contract, yet Rodgers loves him and plays him all the time. God only knows why the likes of Can and Moreno don't start.

And the dynamic duo of Lambert and Gerrard up top. <ok>

    Who, Johnson?

If he could actually defend or even pass a ball 5 yards, I'd like him.

    Lambert.

    Nobody likes Johnson anymore.

How Can doesn't start I don't know. Coutinho has been in good form too, all be it no movement ahead of him.

I'm a big fan of Coutinho but I think he;s quite ineffective without the movement in front of him. That's not to say he's been rubbish - he will continue to conjure up chances but it doesn't suit the attackers.

Lucas deserves the right to start atm, playing well. Coutinho hasn't played well since the QPR game and rodgers was never going to drop a player who scored the winner for us, regardless off the comments he said after the game.

Gerrard was always going to start but I expect him to be dropped on the weekend.

If Coutinho plays the last 25 or so minutes then that would be a good use of him IMO, he's always better when tired opponents give him extra space to exploit

Awful refereeing by Lee Mason. Not the first time and definitely won't be the last time.
