  1. IMO, the Flanno one wasn't a penalty but anyone claiming the lad was going down or threw his self to the floor needs to get themselves checked out at the doctors. No way did he do that, Flanno is as honest as they come, you only have to watch him to see that. He never stays down or fakes a injury, he gets straight up after every single challenge. He is made of the same stuff as Carragher, he never stayed down and stated as much in his booked after his father bollocked him as a kid.

I agree Rafael was amazing, it was like clattenburg took pity, the guy slammed through the back our our player second half, thought he was off and clattenburg runs off to book vidic and ignores a foul from behind

Bruce and particularly mirallas did deserve two yellows... Add the assay in Henderson at the bridge and the ignoring of another assault on Suarez in same game by Webb....

I think Tompkins was more central and it could be a red

You mean beat him with a leather strap don't you

I would be happy to beat janusaj, young, cleverly, the sly Evans, and half if utd no problem if you want.... That's stop them diving

Absolutely agree it wasn't a dive or a penalty.

Not that I was disappointed to be awarded it- after we lost a goal after Mandy pushed Mignolet in the face making him drop the ball. Evened things up.

I did notice as a strategy- every set piece West Ham would form a tight ring of tall players around Mignolet to prevent him being able to move.

It was less about getting the ball- and more about pinning the keeper down so he is unable to move without committing a foul.

  6. I'm not sure but I think this may be a regular tactic and not something designated for us

Newcastle and Bolton did similar when they have Carroll/Nolan and Nolan/Davies respectively.

It could well be a regular tactic- I don't watch the hammers much. Certainly not the first time I've seen such a tactic used.

It was pretty bloody frustrating- obviously designed to impede the goalkeeper- yet, not really illegal. I'm not sure the best way to deal with it. Ended up looking rather ugly so many bodies packed tightly together. Dim the lights, play some godawful music and that many men crammed so tightly together... it could have been a gay bar.

  8. I don't watch much of them either, just guessing from seeing previous teams their personnel have been involved in. Also, when we had Carroll, I used to moan about us not doing that too <laugh> If you are going to have a big physical presence then bloody use it!
