Good penalty. Ref had no choice but to give it - bet that hurt him. What are the rules on goalkeepers grabbing a players leg once they've missed the ball though? I would have thought it should have been red.
Why? The ref is having a shocker and everyone will be saying our win was undeserved. He evened things out.
Weak pen perhaps, but the keeper did grab Flanno's leg after the initial block, Stopping Flanno from getting the loose ball. Still very lucky, well ish, since Carroll was doing a spot of WWE for the WH goal.
Adrian did hold on to Flanagan's leg after he made a good challenge which is stupid for a keeper. I suppose its equal now for that Carroll decision.
To be a little bit fair, the ref probably didn't see the very slight touch on the ball that the keeper got and only saw him clatter into Flanagan. Saying that, I don't think we would have got it, if he didn't give the contentious goal earlier.
If Liverpool win the league, I can guarantee it will come from a last game of the season 94 minute dodgy penalty
Rio Ferdinand made a career out of that technique; "I made a good tackle to begin with so in the follow up I'm allowed to just drag you to the ground"
