Give over with all this "I've got a bad feeling". It isn't going to influence the result one iota!!! The ONE thing you can be sure of is that now the team themselves know that they can win the title and will do all in their power to do so.
any bubble blowers on here willing to state what allardyce will do? I just think watching west ham v utd that west ham are an awful outfit that our best efforts would beat 9/10 times. however i feel that they can easily park the bus and lump it long. My thoughts are: 1. West ham lack any real pace to worry our CBs. 2. As a result i expect a high line from lfc which gets our midfield support closer to SAS 3. I would hope that as a result we can press and make thier donkeys kick possession away uncontrolled or better yet fall over the ball and offer up chances 4. We need the early goal as when utd scored that one west ham basically gave up. They've shown a history of giving up v top teams all year. 5. our main danger zone is set piece here. IF we don't allow set piece to become an issue I think we can do a job on them. 6. I can't see any pens for us as i feel cetain refs don't give them away anyway but others have agendas.
West ham away is yet another potential stumbling block. Big Sam's teams are always tenacious and annoying to play. Plus we'll have one or two (if not three!) ex-players who'll want to prove a point. Combine that with Nolan, who's a local lad too, and this will get a bit bombastic! That being said, I'm enjoying how we're playing at the moment and so I'm going to force myself to remain upbeat! 2-1 to the redmen!
Allardyce will park the bus. They have a few ex-Liverpool players that will want to prove a point too. I think they will be a tougher prospect than Spurs. I think we'll win but I have a gut feeling )) that this may well be a draw. Not the end of the world if this is the case.
I don't think they will frankly they are all bad pros who will see the hard game and to hide rather than a point to prove. Downing hid more than played for us. they spineless chump. anyone would be a bigger challenge than spurs who were defeated in the stands before the game begun (sherwood is gone IMO) but yes west ham should be organsied but they were awful v utd... if they think this one is too hard and perhaps the next oen si the one to look to? we could have an easy night who knows which way it'll go... bus parking is my fear too
I was talking about my thoughts on Spurs pre-yesterday. With how they played I think Stags would be a bigger challenge!!!
None of us can honestly say that at the beginning of the season we thought we would be in this position with 6 games to go. Now that we are we are entering the squeaky bum period of "we could actually do this, but I bet there's a banana skin ahead". I think the team have a hell of a lot of self belief and should beat West Ham. The only factor I fear is the old ex players always play well against their old teams, especially if they have been dumped out. If we give Carroll chances, especially from set pieces, he will punish us. Looking at the games ahead the one I am really worried about is Barcelona in the champions league final next year, that one could be a tough one.
he always seemed to be punished for tackles when he played for us, bet this time round he gets away with a lot
The good thing about our form is it makes teams fear us. Playing us this season is like playing Man Utd under Ferguson, most teams are beaten before even stepping onto the field, like Spurs yesterday. You almost knew we were going to score early and go on to win. If we get an early goal against West Ham then you'd hope they'll crumble and surrender
