Despite hanging on at the end at not scoring at will like in other games, I thought we played very well tonight. Coutinho seems to have refound his form too!
Ah it was grand Sunderland tried parking the bus, should have had a man sent off and Kevin friend came with a clear agenda.... Refs with agendas are far more dangerous than refs who make mistakes. We were flat, Suarez was carp all night so as we won.. Great #championswinugly Roll on spurs
Ermmm why are people say the cbs were anything but ok, they dealt with Sunderland Easily, Allen was ok too, god loves a trier and that..... I thought Flanagan made a mistake on their goal but defensively was ok but we by tactic seemed not to let him forward too much. Overall there was little pressure on any part of our game until Sunderland really chased it and thier cbs were designed to stop SAS getting in behind... I thought another ref would have had them down to ten first half no question, Rodgers needs a plan for this tactic as other sides might try it But then again has Suarez got any on target it would have been nice

Poor performance but its all about the results at this stage of the season. I thought our best player was Coutinho and Glen Johnson was really poor. Im just glad Sunderland didn't start the game with Adam Johnson and Ki because they ran riot when they came on, for me Ki is one of the most underrated players in the entire league.
I thought Coutinho was slightly subdued in the first half although he was still playing some crucial passes. After the second goal, he took complete control - magical at times. Yep, poor performance overall and I really thought we would kill them after the second goal. But as Carra said, this is was important because we had to really grind it out so it should keep us mentally sharp.
