With Lurch you're better keeping a slightly higher line, (as he rarely gets much power into his headers) & concentrate on winning the 2nd ball, as opposed to getting tight & trying to compete in the air against a 6ft 7" freak.
I agree. he is rubbish in the air and likes to take it down and run towards his own half before laying it off in some kind of a grand.. look at me, i can play football gesture. Its more about hassling him so he can't chest the ball down cos he does that more than head it. Its all about lfc getting it to suarez... period. if he gets chances and gets one early... game on.
Feel strangely confident in this game. Normally we aren't very good at Stoke but feel with Hughes trying to put he ball down and play, we could take the three points.
I agree with BCR. This isn't the typical Pulis style Stoke. We should be going in and expecting a win IMO. However, our squad is dangerously thin.
Hoping Sturridge don't start - imagine there is no way he would. He will be a monster off the bench if we need a goal.
Apparently Sakho is back in training and could be starting ... this guy is a machine! Would definitely help having him against the big Stoke lads.

I haven't read all this so sorry if its already been said but Assadi has been important for Stoke and has scored their last 3 goals in the league apparently so its a big plus for us that he won't be playing.
