Back OT What frustrates me is BR talks about changing the team so players don't get tired etc then in the 1 week that we have a midweek game when we're 4-0 up with 20 minutes to go we make 1 change taking off Henderson who probably has the most energy, leaving Gerrard on who could use the rest more and Suarez who had already bagged 4 goals. Then brings Aspas on who could do with some minutes given Sturridge is out for the final couple of minutes just to give Suarez a standing ovation. So we only really used 1 proper sub and didn't rest anyone once the game was won!
Just watched the Manu/Everton highlights, that game reminded me of Liverpool under Daglish, created loads but couldn't score. Hope that continues.
Yep, agree with this. I said at half time we should be looking to rest Suarez from the 60min mark. Gerrard should have come off too.
Smalling should have stopped the goal. He was getting back on the line but just gave up, if he'd slid he would have stopped it.
