  1. Agreed but is it high on the priorities list? I'm happy to stick with Jones for now if the alternative is less signings elsewhere.

  2. Considering your rep power, it wouldn't make any difference if you did know how to.

true, he is better backup than schwarzer :bandit:

depends on budget, i sort of made that point to you with a striker as well.

gk and striker may not be priority positions when we need LB RB CB DM first.

what is our budget any way, or alleged lol

Mig is a great shot stopper but is a bit flappy but no more so than Reina.

What's more important from a keeper, saving shots or having ball at his feet.

Think we all need to realise Reina won't be here next season. We won't have a sub keeper on 100k a week

  5. LB and RB are covered with Flanno and Enrique but we lack depth. I don't like buying backup players so buy one quality FB that can play both sides. With Flanno being able to switch, we'd still have options. Especially with Wisdom and Ilori returning too.

CB; we have Skrtel, Agger, Toure, Sakho, Ilori, Wisdom and Kelly who can play there. I suspect Kelly will be on his way and I've been adamant one of Agger or Skrtel will be going too but sincerely doubt Skrtel will be going anywhere after the season he's had. Toure might go but I have a sneaking feeling Brod will won't to keep him. IMO, we only need a CB if one of the main four leave.

CM has to be the priority! Gerrard, Hendo, Lucas and Allen is not enough for three places (although you could throw Coutinho and Alberto in there too), plus Lucas is looking half the player he was. I've always maintained that Lucas is good but not of title challenging quality, I think he's gone backwards since his injury issues.

I think Brod will want a attacking player too. He's tried to get Willian, Salah, The Plank, etc so clearly wants someone. Only thing that's changed is Sterling who has become essential to us.

We could do with a CF too, beyond SAS there is nothing.

Mig, Skrtel and Sakho are all three a panicky mess. It's in their innate psychological make up unfortunately. No f*cking way would I consider this trio as our first choice next season. If we aren't buying a mature CB, I hope to god Agger is healthy and geared up to go for us next season.

Sakho is also exhibiting some of the Kolo disease... a level of awkwardness which a certain type of fan (me included) may not have too much patience for.

Mig still makes more great saves than howlers. I have no problem with him. Tbf to the lad the Norwich player did jump with a stretched leg at him for the goal.

We missed Henderson today. Lucas offered none of Henderson's forward output.

Gerrard is preferring to sit too far back out of caution, drawn in by the panick that Sakho & Skrtel generate.

Out of our top 16 pass combos, none involved Coutinho. It's not his fault; there's a huge gap from him to Gerrard.

This "relaxed sitting-back" game we're playing at times is doing my head in. A win is a win at this late stage of the season though...

  8. Sorry but I only read the first sentence and I needed to respond before reading the rest. Skrtel? Panicky? Have you watched ANY of our games this season? He's been passing in all directions, long and short, carry the ball out and even faking passes to fool the attackers, he's risky but panicky? No chance!!!

The trio is a panicky mess. Read direct, reactive, if you want. Skrtel, the lesser culprit, controls his own panic, harvests it, but he's a reactive defender nonetheless. Shirt pulls, last ditch actions, own goals don't speak of a very calm farseeing head.

    Read the rest <ok>

I love the lad but Flanno wasn't great today and didn't do much to stop the 2nd goal against us

    Still #savingusmillions though <ok>

  11. I'd say that is determination, not panic.

I've read the rest now, nothing else to say. Just completely disagree with Skrtel being panicky and I was one of his biggest critics at the start of the season!

Skrtel was brilliant again today - sakho looks really uncomfortable trying to play out under pressure though, no harm pairing Skrtel and Agger up against Chelsea IMO
