When did Sir Alex ever say we were underdogs in any game? I mean going into the 2011 CL final, we were very much the underdogs but did Ferguson admit it to the media? It would've made the players feel uneasy. This is another whopper from Moyesy last night which no one has brought up: Moyes targets for Man Utd vs Olympiacos: “They say we have to win by three goals, but we only have to win 2-0 to get into extra-time" I mean f'ucking hell, he doesn't half help himself does?
As a 14 year old kid growing up in Cambridge me and a group of my school mates had after school football skills coaching taken by the one and only David Moyes! He was a Centre Back at Cambridge Utd during the early to mid 1980s. Fair play that he gave up his time to take coaching courses for the local kids and we all said at the time that he would go on to bigger and better things!
How's the "bad feelings" coming along guys? To be fair, I watched the game with a few Utd fans, and they were pretty decent about it , so fair dos. I've no problem with those who stick by their team, no matter what.
If you were United, and you need @ £200m to fix this..... are you really going to give it to Moyes? Unless he wins the CL he won't be there next season. Sad. And though it guts me to admit it, hats off to the United fans at the ground. When we won 4-1 there there must have been five of them there to see Dossena's goal go in. This time there was no mass exodus (not on that scale, anyway). Tremendous.
They have to watch decent football when they get chance nowadays and we only go there once or twice a season!
