Only won it because of the refs.

I notice Anfield is louder this season...#singwhenyourwinning.

Cant say the same about OT #singwhenwerelosing <ok>

Your turning into us. allow that to sink in. English core, 1 superstar, british manager, fast paced counter attacking football scoring goals galore, getting every decision in the league.... hell, you got all the penalties at OT this season.

If we don't win- it will make winning the title very hard indeed. Even a draw will be tough for us to build from.

We need to win in order to keep the title hunt strong. It's important for City too- but they can lose and still be in the title hunt. More pressure on us to win. City can lose, and still be optimistic that we will tie with Chelsea...

Fortunately, I think we are most likely to win at home against City. City may be easier than some of the "lesser" teams we have played recently. City won't park the bus. City won't put 5 men in a circle around our goal keeper to try and impede his movement during set-pieces. City will play football at Anfield, and that will be to their detriment.

More worried about Chelsea who will park the bus; you can count on Mourinho playing all sorts of unsporting dirty tricks too... Chelsea won't play football. I'm sure he's aready developing Teflon coated studs for use in making diving look more realistic.

Who is the 1 superstar? Are you talking about Gerrard? He's getting on now- still bloody good though, wouldn't really call him superstar anymore. Or are you talking about Sturridge, I agree, he's been a complete revelation. Maybe you're talking about Skrtel- one of the best defenders of the season- even if he has multi-coloured thread under his finger nails after this season? Perhaps Suarez- he's been pretty good scoring a few goals and assisting some others?

Assuming the latter- we were top of the league even before he came back from suspension... I won't deny that he has been brilliant- but we are far from a one man team. That's a claim that's been leveled against us for decades- and it's always been untrue. All three S's upfront have been brilliant. Skrtel has been amazing... Sakho not quite up to expectations- but doing well. Coutinho is a major star for the future. Henderson, Gerrard: both been brilliant.

Suarez, Torres, Gerrard, Owen, Fowler, Rush... we're always a one man team- and when that one man leaves- it's always someone else that makes us a one man team according to others.

If you win this one, you win the league imo.

    Get beat and you don't

A draw and it's as you were...

  11. FFS. He nearly always poor for us. Used all his "good use" up at Old Trafford too!

Clattenberg is a good choice as far as I'm concerned.
A strong ref is all you can ask for and someone prepared to give penalties against Utd at Old Trafford fits the bill.
Let's hope next Monday we are discussing the quality of the football rather than how poor the officials were and may the best team win,so long as it's city

A draw and we'll need you boys to take points of them when you play them..
Which, given that fact that you're going for top 4, I hope you do <ok>

Sounds like your saying you need the refs onside to win.

No we just need refs to give us more than 50% of the decisions we actually deserve. We routinely beat teams with the refs against us, but not when they're against us with the furious #bitterness of Webb who only gives us about 20% of the decisions the rules say he should.

You see I remember distinctly our last fa youth cup win as a diminutive jag spearing clattered around from the back when playing your lot in the second leg and clattenburg gave us everything at anfield

He's always been a loyal red....

Unlike Webb who gave your sinking ship the push and put on the blue of east chavlandski
