I'd love to know what incriminating photo Johnson has of BR to be able to blackmail him to get an automatic starting position! What possible reason is there for Glenjo to start today? I thought Gerrard was only supposed to start every other game this season... Can's turn!
All these exciting new transfers in over the summer and Allen, Gerrard and Johnson still get to start against one of the biggest games of the season?

that's harsh, you know what the hours are like when you choose to be a nurse or doctor, you don't expect that just working in an office. my old dear is a nurse so i know what ****e you get over the holiday periods.
Don't want to change the team too much though, replace Can with Gerrard, Markovic with Allen and Manquillo with Johnson and that team IMO has been changed too much. Only second game of the season and Rodgers is still working out his best team.

Fair enough with Gerrard and Allen for now, but it's been clear for ****ing ages that Johnson isn't anywhere near best team quality. There are players in the U18's that'd do better.
He's picked the XI I expected. I am glad that Allen and Hendo have been picked. Will be interesting to see their energy against Fenando and fernandinho's physical presense. To people criticising johnson's selection - i think it would be jumping the gun to expect Manquillo to hold his own against such opposition and the idea of having two new fullbacks would worry me. Its a shame Flanno cant play, but oh well.
How could that possibly worry you more than playing one that's ****ing awful? I don't understand this, it's an excuse lots have for Johnson playing. "We need experienced players" No, we need HUNGRY players. What good is a washed up, lazy, crap Glen Johnson compared to Manquillo who'll play his heart out for the entire game and actually be able to, you know, defend!?
