Skrtel isn't exactly bad in the air, just awful at understanding the word "marking". Kompany was the biggest threat so we should have been primarily taking care of him before others.
So, do people here still rate the 'immense' Yaya Toure? I thought this was just another game where he was anonymous and contributed very little. Same as alot of his games, except this time there wasn't one of his normal three forward runs (due to good pressing) and no free kick to knock in to mask his performance. Lucas and Allen again made their midfield look like they are, normal. Imagine when we sign some midfielders with genuine quality
You're making all these conclusions from one game against you? Did you also conclude that the entire first Hull XI were better than yours after that loss? Or that Arteta was world class after dominating your midfield at the Emirates?
Actually, no. I've been saying for the last year that he's hugely over rated and coasts in and out of games. So no, I'm not basing this on the one game.
He did, but he also saved us points against Everton and Stoke to name a few. This will test his mental resolve and I agree with you on that jaffa
