Boys and girls, we are proud and rightly so of our team. We went to a stadium where many were looking for us to get a good hiding, as they have done to many other "top" teams this year. BUT at the end of 90 minutes we are disappointed to not get at least a point from the champions elect. The team played well, rogers managed well and should be happy with our side. Pay no attention to the wums who haven't been seen for a month, i understand the frustration, but onwards and upwards for the mighty liverpool. City managed to overcome but i doubt Chelsea will. The wums will fall silent yet again. SSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Why exactly is that, im confused elaborate on that please. You wanted City to drop points in hope that the margin at the end of the season between you two wouldn't be too embarrassing? I think you should be more worried about the likes of Swansea, Villa and Hull dropping points than Liverpool or City. Not easy by any means, but a solid 10th place would be quite an achievement for you lot.
Makes me laugh that we've not seen the wums for a couple of weeks but we lose a game we expected to lose and they re-appear claiming its game over Think they've all forgotten where we finished last season our our expectations for this. I reckon our season is going much better than theirs
They have good reason to WUM mate. We've dropped down to fourth fourth, our target before the season started.. How we've fallen.
I'm not pulling the manc ban hammer out for this board. We'll just rip them to bits instead and only ban posters for something worthwhile
What are some of you on about? Sure we were far from perfect but we've just sent probably the best team at home in this division back into its dressing room breathing a great big sigh of relief that they've got away with a win - and that when they had all of the odds in their favour! No point in ripping into any of our players - none of them were perfect (including Suarez). BUT I haven't been so proud of a Liverpool side in defeat for many years. They upheld the honour of the club to the maximum and we can ask for nothing more. Today City were years ahead of us in experience but there was very little to choose in terms of skill. This season they will probably be the Champions, they are the present. But we showed that we have the potential to become a very bright future that has the potential to outshine all of the sides we have encountered this season. OK so it hurts to drop from 1st to 4th but onward to Chelsea and let's see if they can cope with us!
THAT offside call was appalling. The linesmen needs demoting to Sunday league, that's how bad a call it was!
You're right dave, many positives to be had from our performance and the margin of points between first and fourth is more important than the league placing.
I've been saying Liverpool have a good chance for the title this season for a while now, today has done nothing to change my mind
Thanks page, but we need to show against Chelsea that we ARE the future with the same level of commitment - irrespective of the result
thanks, dont see it personally but its nice that we are being talked about like that again, top 4 is our realistic aim, we just have to somehow keep up with City,Arsenal,Chelsea, then the dirty mancs and Spurs can **** off and hopefully be overtaken by Everton and Newcastle, be the icing on the cake that one, maybe too greedy lol.
I saw your posts mate so know your not on the wum, but we are not and were not expecting to be champions, we just wanted to see an improvement and be in with a chance of a top 4 spot. Nothings changed in my mind on that score and I'm happy the way things have worked out so far.
