Really crucial game for the rest of the season. A good result or a good performance at least we can rescue our season. Confidence will be regained.

A bad result. We are on the slope, with Rodgers under even more pressure. I think he needs to be bold and go for a win. Ludo are nowhere near premiership standard more like a championship side. If we cant beat them then we are in serious trouble.

they will just blame it on their internet connection <laugh>

oh you mean us, well we are ****e and we all know it, so a win for us would be a shock for most even though needed to have a chance of qualifying.

In these silly situations that we tend to get in I'm used to us going 2 down then winning 3-2 but I just don't think this team is capable of that. Well they are capable of the first part.

A win - a convincing win - is an absolute necessity this evening. If that doesn't happen I think it will be fair for people to start genuinely calling for Rodgers out. We have zero momentum right now, haven't had any all season, imagine what could happen at Leicester away on Tuesday if we continue in the same vein tonight. Our performance in the CL so far has been completely unacceptable. Both Basel and Ludo are easily, easily beatable so the fact we only have three points is a disgrace.

If we go two down tonight, then there's only one outcome and you don't need me to point out what that is.

totally agree, its not like when we went to think it was Monaco needing a result (0-4 result i think and away from home too!), at least then we had the players capable of doing something, and we tend to play better when we have already got ourselves into a ****e situation to start with, but as well all know, who the **** do we really have to change things at the mo?

Right how many are we going to lose by here?

remember this side is obviously one of europes greats... if we go by evertons experience ;) since we lost to basel I've been point to this one as a game i'd no faith in the LFC squad winning cos I feel we've a bunch of kids and pussies.

All this about we tend to this or that. I'm sorry but lets drop that right now. LFC went to real with a reserve team to play for a bit of damage control and that says it all. We rode our luck and got out with a 0-1. hwever this is the real deal now.

No badontelly but will be forced to endure skertl, gerrard, johnson and frankly the lallana's and lambert's of this world. Thankfully we might get a ref where if we fall over we get a free and that might help our weak willed team a bit.

I do not expect us to score many if any indeed so its merely a question of can we keep this load of ****e out for 90mins and scrape a 1-0.

REALITY CHECK. this lot are piss poor... I mean that genuinely. they are the dregs of the competition so what does that really make LFC... thats why its a reality check. we've not right to any sort of result and will have to trust to luck.

I'm actually quite worried about this tie.

Of course, we should be going into this match thinking we'll win easily. But reality is, our team is seriously poor and has no confidence. Combined with the fact that Ludo have been pretty good at home this season in the CL (only lost 2-1 to Real, and beat Basel).

Rumours are that Lucas and Toure are back in the team.

This is needed imo, but if Gerrard starts as well then I don't know what will happen cos Lucas goes into his shell when he plays with him.

I'm not a Gerrard basher but he was ****ing awful Sunday and needs leaving out of this one - at least he can come on higher up if needed 70 minutes in.

Either Gerrard and Lucas in a two man midfield (which never works) or Gerrard playing as AM I reckon.

He needs to be dropped full stop.

Ludogrets were a totally unknown quantity (to most of us anyway) before the competition and quite rightly most top teams drawing them would have said " 6 points in the bag".

I said at the time that Rodgers giving the signal that he was accepting a defeat even before the Real match was a mistake. Yes, we've had the arguments about whether the team was really our weaker one and whether those not playing shouldn't be anyway. But the important thing was that Rodgers THOUGHT that he was resting players because he brought his so called top guns back for the Chelsea match. Let's hope he has not signalled to Ludogrets that LFC is not prepared to put up a fight and will give in if the going gets tough.

I will expect Ludogrets if they have any sense going on the attack from the first second and put our fragile defence under pressure. We used to say that some teams are defeated even before meeting the big guns like us (in the past) or Real/Barca nowadays. This is not going to happen this time with Ludo.

Rodgers should put in a team of battlers tonight. Pretty passing is just not going to do it. What would be dreadful too is doing a Palace yet again: scoring early and then letting them come back and win.

    No they are terrible.

Ludo are third tier. there is no other way of putting it and honestly yes they ought to be licking their chops at the thought of sticking it to us.

If rodgers plays lucas and toure for this he is really nonsensical as anyone could tell they are a vast improvement on skertl and gerrard period. why now, why not 3 games ago in the prem???

For me if they are coming into a must win game you must ask why? experience? physicality? leadership? for any of those reasons they should have started v palace.

Ergo.... rodgers wants taking out the back along with gerrard and shooting... the issue is if you made glue out of them they'd probably not stick anything they are that weak.

If Gerrard was to play in Allen's role I reckon things would work out ok.
