Flannagan really grew in to the half, made a few vital interceptions but he still needs Coutinho or Allen to help him double up on the left hand side when Coleman & Mirallas are doubling up on him.

And the above sums up the first half, grew in to the game, very good away performance so far but still a long way to go.

  3. If thats the case then he's majorly ****ed up as thats a straight red challenge all day long. Studs showing, waist height challenge, no where near the ball, late and actually gets the man.

Alistair Lowe: I think there's two things you can say about the booking for Mirallas. 1) it's Suarez - known for theatrics. 2) He's unsighted.

    From BBC live text

FFS <doh> Some idiot claiming Suarez was being theatrical for being studded in the knee

  6. I don't hate Skrtel, I hate his 'man first, ball second' approach as it will cost us (evidently)

Its a red all day long, late and knee high with studs.Dowd shat out of that one.

Lets keep this going, its a typical derby game so far.

Lucas and flanno playing well,Johnson needs to wake up.

Luis must be made of granite <laugh>

  8. Thats a joke. The ref was perfectly placed to see it. The refs bottled it.

  10. Luis was limping beforehand. The way Mirralles goes in, I wonder if that came into his mind?

I totally agree with you. That was a surprise to me too when he pulled out the yellow. You could see Dowd chatting into the microphone all the while. If the refs are using technology in this way and I'm pretty sure they are, the fact that they are still getting it wrong tells us what we always knew about referees!

I'd really hope a pro footballer wouldn't think that as he's limping already, if I go in hard and catch him it might put him out of the game <yikes>

Hope Dowd is made aware that he ****ed up. Might go out in the 2nd half knowing that he has to cancel out that decision.

It was a red but it's a Derby so let's shut up. I predicted 1-2 with Suarez scoring but now I want another goal to wrap it up Come On You Reds

Suarez did injure him in the last game at Goodison, he probably wanted some revenge. The only differences are that Suarez didn't try to injure him and Suarez isn't made of glass like him.

  17. He was probably just talking to his assistance. Can't see a yellow if someones watched a replay.

Should have been a red -Bleeding stud marks on the knee prove it- but Dowd was always going to bottle that one so he doesn't get blamed for ruining the derby game.

Luckily, Luis isn't a wet paper bag and will play until his leg is separated from the rest of his body.

    3-1 winners, lets go.

I wonder if Mirallas will get punished retrospectively for that challenge now the FA have changed their rules?
