Think Henderson is playing very very well today.
Clear red as studs up and challenge knee high, very dangerous tackle, after having no major decisions to make he has just set a dangerous precedent.

For a guy that goes down at the slightest touch Suarez is actually the premier league hard guy. Limping already he gets tackled knee high and he just comes back on and plays on.

If Suarez hadn't hobbled off like that and wasn't carrying that initial knock, I wouldn't be so disappointed with the yellow.

I understand it though, you really don't want to foster a violent match so early on with the red, but it seems as if Everton are reverting to their traditional rugby style against us.

We do have a good chance of them getting further cards now.

    Flanagan loves a tackle.

Much better getting tighter to his man and making the tackle before he had a chance to turn and run at him.

Coutinho is such a classy little player.

love the way he manoeuvres the ball and let's it run across him.

What is also apparent, is the obvious interplay between the officials via their headsets. Dowd is clearly waiting for advice from others, possibly someone is viewing a replay? Not the first time I've witnessed this either.

The length of time, before he gave a yellow would never have occurred in years gone by.

Been a good first half. Everton should be down to 10 men, but we have begun to control the game more. The first 20 mins was hectic derby stuff. Enjoying it and think there's more to come in the second half. A red card would not surprise me.

  17. He was no where near the ball. He was grabbing the shirt and ended up in a bad position where he couldn't get to the ball. He's done alright rest of time.

Decent 7/10. Not made any errors, kept it simple with his passing. Kind of player you want in this game where everything is 100mph, he keeps things simple and calm. Happy to take the ball and then move it on. Unlike Gerrard who has given the ball away 3 or 4 times and put us in danger because of it.

YELLOW CARD - Everton 1-2 Liverpool
Everton midfielder Kevin Mirallas is booked for that challenge. It could have been worse, it was an utterly moronic tackle, people have been sent off for less.

Luis Suarez meanwhile has stud marks on his knee - looks like he's been bitten by a very short vampire.

The BBC site view of that tackle
