That's the thing for me. Moyes long ball tactics were easily countered in general and it will be interesting to see how the bitters do trying to play football. Looking at the best two footballing teams we've played this season we've lost to both
be interesting to see if the full commitment type tackling that happens in these type of games in the past goes, was always a red card type game waiting to happen, i doubt it will but who knows, Martinez seems too soft type manager and doesn't generally send his teams out to play dirty to my knowledge, derby game who knows, did he manage any derbys when in Spain anyone know? be a good game for the neutral to watch, hopefully we can pull off a thrashing and win 1-0.
Not sure about Spain. Don't think he ever played Cardiff at Swansea. Also, Wigan never really had any derbies either.
SENDING OFF....This derby is known for players on both sides being sent off. Can only hope that the referee on the day is going to be responsible.
Good point. Martinez does seem to be a genuinely nice guy so that might be his downfall in the long run, who knows? I imagine there'll be a few players who've been around long enough to understand the somewhat uncultured nature of the derby and get stuck in, and the crowd should let them know if they don't. I'm looking forward to it.
Nowhere near as good as Enrique at defending and probably as good going forward but that's more to do with Enricky being poor (in terms of end product) more than Cissokho being good.
Don't think Cissokho has done an awful lot wrong defensively, he's not the best player but he certainly isn't miles behind Enrique.
Not sure exactly but it could be his knee again. Cissokho is a very good player - I hope he rediscovers his form though. He's looked a bit leggy recently but he can be a real asset once he gets to full fitness - we must remember that he was injured not too long ago, as well as adjusting to new tactics and teammates.
He is constantly out of position and lacks commitment to the cause. Arsenal's first goal is a perfect example, he allowed Sagna to put the cross in rather than attempting to stop it by sliding or, at the very least, sticking a leg out. He slows up a yard before the cross is put in too! I should add, it is early days and I don't like to judge a player this soon. However, Cissokho (and Moses) is slightly different because he is here on loan therefore needs to have a immediate impact.
From what I've seen of him he looks absolute mince & definitely a weak link in your side. I hope Martinez sends out Mirallas with instructions to run him ragged for an hour or so & then when he's tiring send on Deloufeu to finish him off.....
That Miralles fella is good and with Lukaku upfront this will be an interesting game, Agger was in for the last match but he's had trouble with Lukaku in the past he'll either need to step up or maybe we should give Sakho a go at him.
