Also, fair play to Rodgers for giving players who are performing well in training a chance. I honestly have no qualms with that at all.
This worries me a lot. Really hope he puts Agger there and Toure/Skrtel in the middle but just don't think that will happen.
So we'll have a makeshift full back, Suarez has flown around the world this week and Sturridge could be a doubt - great preparation for Saturday
I'm hoping that Sturridge can at least make the bench. Think we'd go 4-3-3 with Moses and Coutinho either side of Suarez and Moses could express himself again on the wing. So not ALL bad, we'll be alright
Cissokho looked very leggy against Arsenal which would suggest he's still trying to get back up to full fitness. The fact that he's even mentioning Flanno would suggest that a) Cissokho isn't fully fit or b) Rodgers just hasn't been impressed with Cissokho in training. I would like to think that the 'Sturridge is a doubt' is just mind games - why else would Roy play him for 90 mins?
One of his more underrated qualities - his physique. However, when he is overworked, he can look a bit leggy. Will still fight for every ball though.
If Flanno is in contention for starting LB, perhaps Johnson is injured too? Johnson is very capable LB when he has played there, and I would have expected Kelly to move into right back. Perhaps Flanno is getting a look for being immense in training? His performance against Arsenal would suggest otherwise though.
I think the only reason he bulled up Flannagan, is that the lad is now his reserve LB for the next few months & he may be needed, if Cissokho picks up a knock or continues to stink the place out. Sturridge isn't fully match fit imo, as he's barely trained for a couple of weeks, but he'll still play, same goes for Gerrard.
I wonder if with Suarez's travels this week it could be a good idea to but him in a position that could be a better easier on him. -----------------Mignolet----------------- ---Johnson---Skrtel---Agger---Cissohko--- ------------------Lucas------------------ ----------Henderson---Gerrard------------- ------Suarez-----------------Coutinho----- -----------------Sturridge----------------- Thoughts?
This isnt really match news but I didnt feel it was worth its own thread. I just read this online. I dont know how arcurate it is or how the info was measured: Top 10 fastest players in Premier League #10 Ramires, Chelsea #9 Raheem Sterling, Liverpool #8 Nathan Dyer, Swansea #7 Tiago Ilori Liverpool #6 Aaron Lennon Tottenham #5 Gabriel Agbonlahor, Aston Villa #4 Antonio Valencia, Manchester United #3 Daniel Sturridge Liverpool #2 Jesus Navas - Man City #1 Theo Walcott - Arsenal Our young center back in there? Interesting.
Both Fifa and football manager have his pace as just about average. Think it is like 70's in fifa and an 11-12 in FM. He broke CR's 40 time at Sporting too.
