Because he fielded his stiffs in your highest profile game for years If he'd have stuck with them today he could have said he was just picking the side he felt was going to get a result, but he dropped all of them barring Can, so he was just treating the game like a Mickey Mouse cup outing. Shameful
Nah Skrtel isn't one to get wound up. Saw earlier he was laughing when Costa was having a moan. What annoys me is the defend pass it around to each other and Skrtel passes it back to Mig but he passes it across his body so it's always going onto his left foot. Means if he kicks it long he has to go with his left (so it goes no where) or he has to sweep it wide to Lovren who is sometimes straight under pressure.
So you think we had more chance of beating Madrid away from home than getting a result against Chelea at home? Do you think we should have played the same team in both games? Do you not think by resting players like Gerrard, Henderson, Sterling it has given them a kick up the ass to perform in this one to try and prove a point, or given them a bit more energy etc?
Did well on a couple of occasions. Did turn hi back slightly which was a bit of a worry but got in the way Side note, we clear these corners straight back to Chelsea again.... get Coutinho or Sterling on the half way line to make a nuisance when the ball is cleared so it doesn't come right bacj at us
Maybe a team like the one we fielded in Madrid with hard working players like Borini, Markovic, Lallana, Allen, Lucas etc. was just more suited to a game where we weren't expecting much possession and anticipating the need for a lot of closing down and running of the ball? Something the likes of Gerrard, Coutinho, Balotelli, Johnson aren't as capable of doing.
Sterling stands still and Ramires runs 5 yards into him and pushes hi in the mouth.... Sterling gets a yellow card Not sure where in the rules it says you have to move out of the players way.
From what I hear Johnson is having his usual **** game. Seriously how is this guy still getting starts?
And people will forget about how awful he is because he made two blocks (which by the way were just him standing still and Hazard firing two very weak shots at his feet). Gives the ball away constantly, always out of position, always slows the game down.
Not the point. It was the biggest game in your recent history in terms of profile and he disrespected the occasion and the fixture by sending out a second string, go ask Roy Evans for his opinion as a former kopite manager lad.
Good game of football, good battles all over the pitch one moment of magic could be the difference today.
