Don't talk s**te. We got two dodgy pens last season; one at stoke when we won 3-5 anyway, and another at OT when we were denied another two. Counter that with the one at Chelsea, the one at the Etihad, one at home to Soton and another away at Spurs that everyone seems to have forgotten about, the one at the Emirates in the FA Cup, the non sendings-off at Everton and Stamthug Bridge, the perfectly good goal disallowed at the Etihad... Then again, you immediately posted after the Paulinho sending-off at Spurs that 'It was booking at worst', despite the fact that tv replays showed he clearly twisted his foot into Suarez's chest five foot off the ground. You have one B/s lens and one Clog-Sparker lens in those pundit glasses, Tobes; and whilst that makes you eminently qualified to be a Prem ref or sit on an FA panel, we can all see what it does to your impartiality and fairness.
The analysts (Neville and Jenus) said BOTH Cahill's handballs were clear pens, especially the second, of which the referee's decision was 'completely inexplicable' (Neville's words). The commentator (didn't get his name*) said the first one 'clearly hit' his shoulder - as if it was a tennis ball that didn't strike his bicep too - and the second, most obvious non-pen since Suarez was karate-chopped in the neck at Norwich 18 months ago, 'brushed his arm and would have been harsh'.... * never actually heard Tobes speak, so there could be a reason why the commentator was the only one in the ground and the millions watching live, even without replays, who agreed with Anthony Taylor. Dunno if ex Speztnaz officers were holding his family hostage as well.
Cahill's second handball was pretty much a keeper save, how that was not a penalty I'll never know, Taylor had clear view.
I didn't think the first one was a pen. Looked like it hit his shoulder to me, so I could see why the ref didn't give it. The second was a blatant pen tho tbh, no defending that one.
He's an awful excuse for a defender. He's unbelievably poor, but so too are Skrtel, Lovren and Gerrard (defensively at least). I know there is a lot of debate on whether it's the system or the players - but for me, it's so clear that it's the players. Johnson made 2 massive errors that led to both goals: First goal - playing Gerrard into trouble which led to the corner. Not only that, his pathetic attempt at heading the ball as well. Second goal - there was so much space down that right hand side. Unreal. One counter would be that he was tucked into the centre to watch Hazard. I don't buy it but let's go with it. So once the ball gets switched the right with Coutinho trying to defend, I expect johnson to do his best to get back into position and prevent the dange, or at least try and help Coutinho. But no. These are massive errors, and this was in just one game! He, along with the rest of the defence make these annoying mistakes week in, week out. In most cases, they are small errors in the sense that they aren't that visible i.e. poor positioning etc. These basic defensive errors are down to the players. They're simply not good enough - Skrtel only thrives when we play in a deep line and has a leader beside him. Other than that, he's dross. Lovren is a bag of sh*te and I called it before we signed him. £20m for a supposed leader to come straight in and sort our defence.
Never been a fan of Maddox before: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/brendan-rodgers-under-pressure-how-4605231 So, Anthony Taylor is a tripe-and-cowheel-eating Clog Sparker. Why is that no surprise? Give it four seasons and he'll be 'promoted' to the referees' "Made man" Mafiosi with Webb and Riley.
Just read his wiki page, it's littered with red cards that were rescinded, missing numerous handballs in the penalty area ...... it goes on and on. .... and last year he was FIFA listed
