I am afraid it has been Malky`s attitude that has caused all this not Tan. The manager works for the owner and if he consistently ignores the owner in front of the fans and cannot have a good working relationship then there is no choice. Considering most clubs records regarding managers in this division this is a minor event in comparison. We have kept out of the bottom three so far but the football is mostly dire when you consider how much we spent. Just seen Malky on sky going to the airport...never a dull moment down here guys! You will be odds on to beat us so should we get anything it will be a bonus for us. jck
the more i read about this game, the more i am getting worried. i seriously hope we are in the headlines for the right reasons come sat evening, but i don't for one minute think this game is going to be as easy as made out it will be.
I don't think it will be easy, they will come to defend and if they can keep it 0-0 then they are a threat from set pieces.
does look that way sadly, think the owner would give a **** and think what a stupid ******ed mistake i have made if they got anything from the game, or he has his head so far up his own arse he couldn't give a ****. be odd timing if they do, as they have prepared for the game, why not let the manager see it through? could motivate the players as well as they will want to perform for him, which wont do us any favours if not focused properly.
This is a fair point. I've only just finished celebrating that fantastic team performance from our last (away) game, and I'd hate to be brought back down to earth with a ground shattering thud because of the team becoming complacent. I'd like to think that, with our last performance and Luis signing a new deal, we will have enough motivation to kick on and register a large win against Cardiff. They are a danger from set-pieces but haven't really scored much this season. An ideal situation would be a win (considerable, if possible) with a clean sheet. I'd take, but wouldn't like, a draw. A loss would be a real set back. I hope the players can build on our WHL performance and captain Suarez and co can get us the (alledgedly) jinxed 'top-for-christmas' position! Come on boys, Newton-mas starts here!
the ground tomorrow will be rocking, cardiff might or might not turn up... their players might make a point one way or another... the cheer for suarez new contract will be huge. I remember the traitor owen's contract at 18.. that was a big cheer that day. I am hopeful.
To be fair to the owner, he set a budget in the summer and they overspent on that budget by £15m! And now they're asking for yet more money in January? If I was the owner I'd be telling them they spent their Winter budget and more in the Summer so now you have to make do with what you have. No doubt the fans would kick up a fuss if they kept overspending, went into debt and dropped back down the league again Saying that, don't think the Owners helped himself by going so public but hey. Trust all this to happen just before they play us, no doubt that the players will play awesome just to back up their manager and they go and beat us
That depends who you believe. Malky has said they didn't over spend unless you can't the add-ons and added that Tan was in agreement with this.
Nice boss that, just leaves a 15 mill pettycash float lying around, you know just in case. Now in my job, all payments over 20 quid have to be authorised lol.....
