Coutinho has been poor. Can see Sterling coming on for the second half. He tackles better so will improve midfield as well as being a goal threat. I like Coutinho, but he seems to be brilliant or very poor. There is no middle ground consistency with him.
I still think we need his creativity. Tell him to stop the bloody shooting and focus on passing. Take Allen off for Lucas. Sterling can come on halfway through that for energy and pace on the counter.
I'm thinking we may even need I take Gerrard off. He's on wafer thin ice and could have had a secod yellow.
Its not the right type of game for Allen. We are seeing a lot of possession and I think Joe's strength is pressuring the opposition into making errors.
I'd bring Sterling on for Allen, not bring on Lucas. Cardiff are playing alright, but we're handing the ball to them rather than them controlling the middle. If we keep it better, we're fine. Sterling will give us far more width and pace and Coutinho/Hendo can keep the ball well enough with a kick up the backside from Rodgers
I think we do need a change now. Not at the 60th. Second halves have a nasty habit of flying by too quickly
