That's where Sterling's inexperience shows. He needed to run round the outside of Coutinho to draw the defender away but instead ran inside and closed the gap
I think Coutinho was waiting for the run to play him in too. Still, can't complain about Sterling, he's been the MOTM so far.
In possession, it's been poor but I think we have been fairly solid defensively. Gerrard is doing the DM role well too.
Agree, certainly been the best player so far. It's little things like that that are just annoying. I remember Sturridge doing something very similar earlier in the season and then later in the same game (or the next one) Suarez was in exactly the same position but went on the outside opening things up and we scored from it. Just those little things that make the difference between good and great players.
