Fulham are crap. They've conceded the most goals at home this season and lost the joint most amount of home games.

We should beat them comfortably barring any freak incidents (early red card or dodgy penalty etc)

    sasasas..

suarez is due a couple of goals. sturrdige will shoot til he gets one then might pass it... sterling will i hope continue to show that edge and effort. all in all.. I think this one comes down to coutinho.

does he have another 90mins in the tank midweek? its a question.

if our team hunts in packs, makes the game a misery for them and we take a couple of chances... well we should do it.

the tests to my mind are

    1. night game.

    2. midweek game.

    3. away game.

    4. little rest.

we've forgotten all about our issues in squad etc after whacking arsenal... we meed to go pass the test and I really hope go on to claim a dodgy 1-0 at the weekend to boot.

Oh I know. But few would have bet on today's result either. WBA and Villa were very beatable too. BR has said it; consistency is the key. If we play half as well as Saturday, we'll win. Anything like last week and it's not certain. <ok>

I don't think our away record is that bad against smaller teams.

    Villa 1-0 Win
    Sunderland 3-1 Win
    Stoke City 5-3 Win
    Tottenham 5-0 Win
    Swansea 2-2 Draw
    Newcastle 2-2 Draw
    West Brom 1-1 Draw
    Everton 3-3 Draw
    Hull 3-1 Loss
    Man City 2-1 Loss
    Chelsea 2-1 Loss
    Arsenal 2-0 Loss

The only ones we've actually lost are the ones against teams most people would expect to lose to, Hull City apart.

Fulham are unlikely to change the way played today. Why should they? Even 1 point would be good from a game that nobody expects them to win and they just might sneak a win.

Remember Craven Cottage is a tight little ground and there's not the wide open spaces they had today. Trying to find space to run into will be very difficult. However, I doubt that we will be throwing in anything like as many crosses! What I don't expect is to see them come out and have a go.

    hang on.

swansea disaster (they were f'n awful) Newcastle, second best they get a man sent off and we still contrive a draw. west brom total trash performance.. everton allen misses one form 6 yards for 3-1 up end up scraping a 3-3. then hull.

We are not great on the road are we... we seem to concede a lot of goals away and play differently, more negatively, less pressing etc. I wanted to earlier in the league to think internationals hurt us as two of those draws were right after them but... we are pretty average a lot of the time.

We need a win but we need to play positively. Our record might be getting us 4th but its whats the difference between 4th and 1st frankly.

With our past form of following up a great result with a dire performance, I'm expecting the worse but hoping for the best..
Fulham may do the same thing at home against us as they did against United away..
We won't go down the wings as much but with them packing the midfield we'll need the likes of Ford, Suarez, Gerrard at their best to unlock their defence!

obviously not. what are you thinking? trying to translate a prediction of who will score.... cos all i posted was SaSaS and added suarez to make a fearsome foursome.

If LFc add sahko back in for toure then it could be sasasasas.. we need to then replace flanagan, cissohko, mingolet, gerrard and henderson and of course coutinho to make a right teams of s..

Gerrard can just officially change his name to "Stevie G" by deed #poll

The rest will need to work a bit harder to keep their place in the starting XI <ok>

first names don't count... clearly... downing is a perfect example of how this works.

anyone with s as a surname initial is in hot form.

Why? lots of the worlds best player (Brazilians) play with their first name on their shirt... or nicknames even.

It's "Lucas" not Leiva. Coutinho goes by his mother's family name not his father's .

If Stevie wants to be Stevie instead of Gerrard, I'm OK with that.
