fantastic performance tonight, for all of the plaudits special mention again to Jordan. i thought he was outstanding from start to finish. Stevie as Dm was allowed to drop deep, even playing as a extra centre defender as Henderson had the energy to get into position infront of the back 4. At the other end Counts, who was superb was always given an out ball by Henderson making up the ground to support him.

But all in a all a absolutely fantastic result and performance and as the only lonely red in my family a night to savour.

  3. So, we've got the best winger, best player, best front pairing and best CB (Sakho) according to this board. I don't know why we get called deluded...

Sure we were good on the counter but then we do have the players to make the most of that style of attack. However, setting up to counter is of no use if the rest of the side don't press the ball and the defence stay solid. Tonight Liverpool did that.

It's one of those occasions were the stats actually do appear to lie. They will tell you that Everton dominated possession. However there were few times when they actually penetrated or had the chance to hurt us. So well played the whole team. The strikers will get the glory but the rest of the team were brilliant tonight - even Cissokho (he was, as usual crap but he worked himself to the bone)

Yeah didn't mean to sound as though I was criticising Gerrard's performance, he was great. Just feel the midfield as a whole deserved credit rather than Gerrard specifically for his anchorman duties. Would still like to see a defensive midfielder signed. Don't want this victory to hide the fact that we have a thin squad that needs strengthening.

PL is great to watch this year compared to the dross last year. To think Arsenal could win 5 in a row at the top of the table and with one draw they could drop to 3rd, can't wait for the last few weeks just hope we're involved somewhere!

    Agreed mate. Very tight!

We just need to go on a little run of wins now and keep holding on to the coat tales of Chelsea above us.
