Come on you redmen, let's show them how it's done.
good vid pass and move just thinking seeing that video, any one reckon Reina would come back and fight it out with migs if we got cl football? we would have 2 very good keepers for league and cl football then and can rotate and not expect the worst for a change lol.
Imo, the day we signed Mig was the writing on the wall for Pepe. I don't think either of them would be content being rotated.
Unless something catastrophic happens with/to Mignolet (fingers crossed, touch wood, buy lucky heather) Reina is done with the club. Only if it's an emergency could I see him back between the sticks and even then we would probably consider younger options with more longevity. Gerrez has mentioned players who represent the previous 'bad' years at the club and Reina (although he was part of teams prior to that too) would be another I'd put in that group. We remember him fondly and never got a proper goodbye but he's part of our past now and it's best that way. I know we're all anxious to get an even stronger squad but the phoenix is rising from the ashes, it's not incandescent yet but we keep feeding those flames with goals and it will be.
Obviously, when someone says that, you cover your arse by looking for someone else. I mean that by signing Mig we'd accepted that Pepe was leaving and it was inevitable from there. Those who thought the two of them might somehow work together and give us greater options were in fantasy land, I think. I could never see that happening. The issue was that Pepe wanted to leave when it suited him, ie Barca vacancy, but we had to buy for the future and not be caught with our pants down when that time came.
Absolutely. We were never going to have a £9m back-up keeper when the rest of the team needed attention. Love Pepe but he made his bed. He's slso part of the old regime (cheers for the mention Pass)
#bbcsalford with their wishful thinking again. Not that they care enough to get the game's kick off right though
See Borini has already scored and nearly had another one against Southampton. Assaidi to start against CP. Hopefully the Assman can continue his purple patch, too. Our loan players seem to be flourishing. Suso doing well and Derby fans loving Wisdom. Keep up the good work lads. Looking forward to the game today, too. Ideally a win and a clean sheet please.
I've always backed Borini despite some of the moaners on here. He'll come good for us; Kuyt mk II, but faster. Good on you, Fab
Borini just needs to find the net with more consistency. Doubt he'll displace Studge and Suarez but he can be a very important squad player. If (fingers crossed) we get European football next season we can recall our loan player who'll be fit and firing.
