When villa dominate possession against you, away from home you know you've been shocking.

Can't wait until we get Enrique agger and Sakho back!

BR messed up playing Gerrard and no Lucas or Allen to help control the midfield.

If Big Rod plays that formation again... with Gerrard in holding role I hope he gets slapped in the face with a wet salmon by a man in a bear suit.

  8. It wasn't offside. Not only was he not beyond the last defender but he was also behind the ball <laugh>

    Cissoko again spectacularly bad.

He should never wear red again. Or white, black and purple if we are away.

I've been defending Johnson a little pointing out he has runs of good followed by runs of bad his whole career with us... but sorry he is crap.

Not bad from midfield in 2nd half. Took too long to change formation.

Need a new full back for RB asap. Preferably one who can also play LB. Enrique needs to hurry back... if not... give youth a chance at lb. Can't be worse than cissoko.

We'd better play better than THAT against the ****e. That ****ing defence.... Cissokho is hapless, Johnson is languid, Toure addresses the ball as if someone is always trying to stick a spike up his arse, and that ****ing goalie couldn't catch the clap. We cannot keep giving every team we play two/three goals and expect to score four or five ourselves. But we got a point, and three points last week, and that we've got to be grateful for, because Villa were the better side until Agbonlahor went off, and that pen was iffy to say the least (though there ****ing WAS contact - how much of it was Luis running into him is debatable). move on.

Gerrard cannot and should not play that position alone again. 1st half he was a mess. Lucas added much needed balance for the 20 mins he played in 2nd half and we looked much better for it. I know he has been a bit hot and cold this season, but Lucas is vital for midfield balance, and I hope his injury isn't serious.

Cissokho was gash again, offers nothing going forward and was so far out of position for Villa's 2nd. Need Enrique back asap

Amazing how many people miss that, like Sterling's goal against Cardiff.

Wickedly shove his elbow. No wonder he went down clutching his head - he's at the team that developed Young before sending him off to the United finishing school.

When did it become a rule that a goalie can only give away a pen if they bring down the forward with their hands? He pulled his hands away - so what? I thought he caught him with his knee, as well as his midriff, btw. Still thought it was an iffy pen, but AGAIN, it wasn't a dive.

Red tinted glasses. The keeper pulled his arms and hands away and didn't touch him. <ok>

    Erm ... well ...

I was actually one of the few people that were a bit concerned about Villa - their away form is better and they have ability.

Having said, I was very disappointed with Rodgers's tactics and team. Far too aggressive and as a result, we lost the balance. It was suicidal.

At least we will never have to see Gerrard as the regista again - he cannot play that role, and he cannot play it without a couple of runners in front him.

What annoyed me the most was how we lost the momentum as soon as we got the 2nd goal - there was plenty of time to get the winner and we just didn't go for it.

Quite clear to see that we need new full backs, partner for Sakho and a DM. Our attack has carried us so far, how much more can we expect from them?

Positives - we salvaged a draw. Fought back and showed some spirit to get back into it. And also, Sterling shows a lot of bottle and fight now.

Yeah. We entered 4 minutes of stoppage time and we passed it between our CB's, what was up with that? There was no urgency at all..
