That's what I want to hear from BR and that's what I want see put into action by the players. Then we'll see where we end up.

treat all teams equal not just raise your game as its high profile ie derby, treat all games the same level of intensity and 4th is in ours.

Your comment about Ozil is one of the stupidest things i've ever heard. Your basically moaning that Arsenal got a player without paying the very maximum they could have? Oh how aweful, we negotiated the best price for a player. Oh no....

Also the name is Draxler, not Drexler - the fact you don't know his name would suggest you aren't as privy to the ins and outs of Arsenals transfer business as you try to make out ;) And afaik Draxler came out and said Schalke wouldn't let him leave until the summer. Bit of a poor choice of example there pal.

And we didn't lose Suarez...we never had him.... we made a bid thinking we could get him for the 40m+1, we couldn't. So we didn't bother going back with another bid, we went for other targets.

It's also hilarious that you lot are now saying we could of got him for 50-60 when at the start of the season you where absolutely 100% certain that he wouldn't be sold to Arsenal for any price, and those banding around figures where expecting Bale-esque money. But don't let that get in the way of saying Arsenal could have had him and where penny pinching.

If you guys had bid enough, you would have got Suarez. Wenger/Arsenal were being cheap, they tried to get a top performer for a fraction of the price. Funny thing is, £50m-£60m would have got him then but it'll take £100m+ now.

I really wouldn't.... As far as Wenger was aware (and clearly Suarez thought the same thing) 40M+1 was enough to get the player. So that is the amount we bid. It turned out Suarez and his people had got it wrong, so we withrew our interest. It seems a really straightforward situation to me, not sure what you would expect Wenger to do in that position? Pass up the chance of getting Suarez on the cheap? Bid an extra few million just for the fun of it?

It really isn't the big deal you make it out to be. Granted the +1 allows for plenty of comedy moments and some hilarious jokes, but the reality of the situation is pretty straight forward and expected given the information available at the time...
 
So are you guys expecting to sit back, try and make us play in front of you and hit us on the counter? Or will you come out and try to control the game? Hoping for the latter as i think this game is going to turn into a counter after counter, with whoever is clinical getting the win. Hoping therefor that you come out and try and match us in midfield instead.

Folks around here will tell you I'm a gentle, polite and long-suffering veteran poster on this board. However, following your performance yesterday and this particular contribution, can I suggest that you **** right off to your own midden of a board and liaise with your kindred spirits over there. You're not wanted here.
 
If we start our mid trio of Gerrard, Henderson and Allen and them closing you down I wouldnt be so cocky on the mid arguement but, for Allen to play it means Sterling or Coutninho wont and that will weaken our attack and I think we'll attack you

I would pay to be a cashier at a store Wenger does his shopping just for the chance to tell him "It comes to 40 pounds and a penny sir" and as as he mumbles his money out: "Why, you really believed sir that such a fine bottle would cost that little?" Arsenal boss explains the best way to ensure any impact Liverpool's strike duo have come Saturday is minimal.

The strike partnership of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez at Liverpool is devastating as between them, the Red duo have scored 37 of the club's 58 goals in the Premier League, however, this season, they were uncharacteristically quiet at the Emirates Stadium when they took on Arsenal in November.

Through a combination of Arsene Wenger's tactics and his senior players' collective ability to put the instruction into action, the Gunners nullified the SAS threat and defeated Brendan Rodgers' side by a 2-0 score.

The reverse fixture is scheduled to take place at Anfield tomorrow, Saturday, and Wenger has revealed precisely what he plans to do to ensure Sturridge (responsible for a goal/assist every 74 minutes) and Suarez (returns a goal or assist every 46 minutes) are frustrated for the full 90 minutes once again.

'[The key is] for us to dominate the game and leave them as few balls as possible,' the Frenchman said simply, as quoted by the club's official website.

'That will be one of our targets of course. At Liverpool the task might be a bit more difficult but the philosophy on our side has to be the same - to master the ball and to have the ball and to dominate the game. Liverpool have a strong offensive force with Sturridge, with Suarez, with Coutinho, with Sterling behind. All these players can score goals and make a difference.

Basically a 4-3-3, with Sterling dropped to the bench. Sterling to come on (prob for Couts) later on to test the Arsenal defense's legs near the end. Front three will probably quite flexible as they all seem to drift and interchange quite happily and freely. Hendo and Allen to help with the grunt work in front of Gerrard. Gerrard to assist the defense and build from the back. <ok>

Any ideas on the Arsenal team / set up? Afcftw?

Not like him. He usually says we'll lose. If you look he has us in 5th place in his prediction table now, but he's gone on a run of predicting us to win recently to pull this up to where we really are. lol. <laugh>

Yes, Arsenal will have a lot of the ball and we need to counter. We need Sterling for this
