They only have 2 more games in the CL and a few more in the FA Cup. They have the squad depth but the timing of them could hurt them.

Well you lot enjoyed the past 20 years and it's now over.
If you think you are in for the title following season, you're having a laugh. All the top 5 teams have a significantly better squad than you lot, you'd have a hard time breaking in.

Your supposed 100million warchest is going to buy you 2 good players. You have atleast 9 players to replace. You've got a looong road ahead. Brace yourself.

Thought it was the most even of the 3 games between us this season. We dominated the first, you dominated the second and we won a hard fought third.

The ref made poor decisions both ways. I think you could of had another penalty, the first could have gone either way and I think several more cards could of been shown (podolski and Gerrard being the most obvious two).

Both teams played well but we took our chances. Overall I think we deserved the win but it was a close game and I could see why some of you may feel hard done by not getting a replay.

I think it would have affected them more because they also have CL games and it would have been away with everyone at Anfield desperate for a derby next round

Brendan on the non-penalty: "It was a strange decision."

I thought today's game was exciting. If Webb had done his job properly then it would probably have finished 2 - 2 with 10-a-side. I'm not arguing that both sides contributed to a good game of football. If you can find a negative reference to Arsenal about today's game then show me.

As for my reply to jenners, I stand by every word because it's true. Unless of course you happen to know that today has been officially designated as Be Kind To Arsenal Day?

Agree with first part. Don't agree with the last part. You had 3 shots on target and scored 2 goals. We had 7 shots on target, plus a blatant pen not given to make it 2-2.

Yes the cards could and maybe should have been given each way, but that's a matter of opinions as to whether it was deserved.

Not feeling bitter but a draw would have certainly been a fairer result and going by the amount of saves your keeper made compared to ours... if we had won it, it wouldn't have been totally underserved.

No they dont, not even close.

Wenare having a bad season yet its still better than your last few. Sure things are bad at United but moyes will be gone soon so the issue will be gone.

We need 2 or 3 playera in the right positions. Considering you guys will need a whole second string in one summer, I know who im more worriws about.

Remember the last time you had to juggle Europe and tge rest. 54 points was it?

Half of those 7 chances where straight at the keeper though. I thought both teams threatened the opposition goals about the same.

Even if we do follow liverpools example and become insignificant for 20 years, it wont be liverpool who concern us.

Even when we were getting poor results we were playing good football. We were building towards the season we are having now.

With Moyes and the current Man Utd squad (including the signing of Mata just because he was available) there are zero signs of building for the future (except maybe Januzaj getting some games though even that has gone now)

I honestly have no idea what football Man Utd want to play and it sure isn't pretty or successful

If you spend 200mil this summer and sack and replace moyes with a great European manager then you'll be in the fight for CL next year. But neither of those is happening. Moyes is the 'chosen one', remember? <ok>

We kept hitting the ball "too well" ;)

A nice slice to fool the keeper would have been nice

Exactly. Half of them went straight at the keeper but they shouldn't have. Plus you had Sturridge miss a pretty much open goal when he rounded the keeper, then another when he tried to and failed which doesn't go down as a shot.

If we had been more clinical we could have easily had 4 goals today which is why we threatened much more than you.

    behave dave ffs,

every team has an element of luck along the way to a cup win, we had it, chelsea had it,others have etc, i am just not personally writing arsenal off for doing something this year and wining something.

of course if your theory is true, then it could be more star players on their way out of there, but they have the players to do something about it this season, lets see if they do first before writing them off <ok>

You and me both. Ive stopped worrying about it though.

Moyes will be sacked soon enough and things will be right again. Got to take the bad with the good as they say.

As for your point, Wigan played good football as well. Swansea do too.

Imo you played **** football, you play much better now. Passing for no reason is awful. Passing with a point is much better.
