i have been a season ticket holder for many many years.this new uruguayan boy luis suarez looks one hell of a player and definitely as good as those three,and certainly better than nani.i have always believed seeing players in the flesh play is the best indication,i have seen those three play many times and suarez is as good.i believe i am not biased as i rate players highly from many other rival teams and base it on ability.the best i have seen in the last 10 years in the league is ronaldo.

I'm always quite nervous when we start talking about religion and football. If you know the history of Liverpool you would know that we have suffered from religious differences. However, both Liverpool and Everton FCs and the fans have made sure that those differences are not tolerated at the matches. The ONLY spiritual difference that is allowed is are you RED or are you BLUE. We take pride that we have gone beyond that and haven't followed the Glasgow route.

As far as Spurs are concerned. It is up to the fans how they describe themselves. If they are happy with the title so be it. What should never be allowed or accpeted is when opposing fans use that word as a derogatory racial slurr. Hopefully, you should not hear it used by REDs fans in such a way.

 

Thats not a reply based on dave's assertion though,so who have Spurs got that are anyway near as good/bad as the three mentioned players?

 

I agree that it helps seeing them when attending a game. Tomorrow will be my first opportunity to see Suarez live. Ronaldo has also been the best player I've seen in the last 10 years but Rooney put in the best performance against us in the 3-1 agaubst us 2 seasons ago.

 

on his day rooney is an exceptional player to see live.suarez im sure will impress you,his movement off the ball is very good and his close footwork is incredible.i am also at the game tomorrow,early start for me.

Suarez has looked very good this year from what I've seen but for me he's not as good as the players I've mentioned.

Prediction:

I feel this will be a close affair and one that both sides will be trying very hard to win. As usual I expect a tight encounter although I feel that Liverpool will just have enough to nick a 1 goal win.

However, to answer your question. It's difficult to directly compare players but almost every Red would take nani out of that list as he's not really that good (and that's apart from him being a diving cry-baby). Also Rooney never has a truly outstanding game against us.

If you want to know who amongst our squad we would rate as being equal or higher in quality then - Reina, Gerrard, Agger and Suarez.

 

Hmmm, I'm going to kill off the comparisons early, even though I brought it up. We're simply never going to agree on those 4.

Fair point, perhaps I should have worded/expanded on what I mean. Where as in other games a team may not be as bothered or may set out more defensively, I was trying to emphasis the importance of the game and how important the victory could be to both sides which is why both teams will be even more eager to get the win, giving a psychological advantage in the battle for the top four this season.
