What sort of crowd do the potters think its gonna be 2nite, tried to get tickets in the away end for 2nite,and they were all sold out. 5,000 away tickets all sold with a week to spare ( we should of got 3 or 4k more) As regards the team Coates,Maxi,Hendo,Carroll,Agger,Bellamy,Spearing all must start for me. Afternoon fellas, No it's not televised and it is a sell out tonight! I've tried to get tickets for my daughter. I can't I was told this morning we've sold out the home allocation. So have Liverpool.. a night match at home wow should be a great atmosphere, night games usually are the best and we'll be up for the game i'm sure.
Yeah should bee a crackin atmosphere, you dont see to many Carling Cup games these days sold out.Stoke fans are pretty loud ,and our away fans are awesome sometimes,the increased away allocation should mean the stadiums bouncin.... gutted I couldnt get tickets now
Daydodo sure it will be a great night, night games seem to bring the best out of the Stoke fans and of course Liverpool fans too! I think? your allocation will fill most of the away end. How I know this is because my mate who has a Season ticket there.. could not buy his usual seat for tonight. He was re-located to another area, the Family stand. Either way, I'm looking forward to the game as I missed the League game due to my daughter's wedding! our team the one I would like to see is.. Begovic Wilkinson, Huth, Shwcross, Wilson Pennant, Palacios, Whelan, Etherington Walters, Crouch But it will be more like this me thinks.. Sorensen Huth, Woodgate, Shawcross, Wilson/Higginbottom Shotton, Delap, Whitehead Etherington Jones Jerome/crouch I don't think Pennant will make it and T.P. will play Huth at right back.. I think the fact that pottermouth can type two full teams out that are not bad at all proves how far stoke have come on and it also shows why i think 7 players bought in by us is only the start of reconstructing a competitive squad. it is true that some players i think in the stoke team are by the neutral's view not what they'd want but still.... thats just showing where they can improve further. Stoke are a huge threat and to be honest when i heard this draw i thought "thats it then" I can't believe some of our players are being asked about and responding to questions about wembley in the run up. Our website journalists should shut up and our players should know better. we are not focused as much as our boss would like on the next match only so i'm sure we are going to get reamed unless we are fully focused and have the best team out.
I guess the final team selection will show how much Tony Pulis wants it - To be honest we already have enough on our plate with both the league and Europe but from what I've heard Tony seems to think we can go for everything.

Glad we're playing Spearing. We will need a bulldog for a game like this. Plus he realy surprised me last year and deserves a few game. Also delighted Coates is getting a game. About time! Would be great if Carroll could score.

I assume Agger is playing left back with Coates & Carragher in the middle? Guessing the plan is to have 4 big CB's in the team do deal with the aerial threat that they pose. Hope Maxi does well as he kicked on at the end of last season and scored quite a few so was suprised he hasn't had more game time already.
